recipe for total insanity:

start with a LOT of this,

make time for a bit of this,

add a first time for this,

a couple hours of this to watch the sunset,

just about the best place to do this,

a couple hours with just her to do this (disneyland),

then pick up the others, go back and do a little more of this again,

just about always doing this (nice to have a partner),

then he got a lot of this,

and this,

with them,

which leads to (never enough of) this,

a couple days later add in some of this,

and this,

and this,

tease ourselves with this,

give a driver’s license to the pet store and they let you do this for a bit,

then finish off the day with this,

get old friends and new together like this,

or like this,

have a first big boy bath like this,

squeeze in just a tiny bit of this guy,

finally, after 7 months, get a good picture of these three,

but show a bit of reality,

and always make room for this!

phew! its been a crazy busy week here in orange county. sean has been working more than expected and the job has taken a bit longer than expected, so we’re still here and will be until saturday night. our days have been very full, both of fun things and very overstimulated children. we are ready for our slo life – i miss it! lily does best with a schedule and she’s had the exact opposite of that this week. gracie is even beginning to wear out. silas has pretty much been along for the ride. but, now is not the time for me to complain, since all my kids are in bed!

looks like loads of fun. i need loads of fun with my kids, oh it would be so refreshing, a jump start to 2= more months of school.
btw-how is “Marvin”(mouse), you have been seeing alot of him, sean may start to get jealous :-)

looks like a fun visit, but it i am sure it will be nice to get back home and be in your own beds and your routines again.

Totally fun pictures, Lindsey! I do miss the days when my kids were little and we did a lot of beach time, Weinerschnitzel time with Danielle, play time with friends…but now I’m enjoying my OWN time. Liz is married and living in Northridge – we still do Spirit West Coast together and she comes here or we go there when we can. Danielle is living in Oregon now – need to do more visiting with her, but we text each other almost daily, and I get to hear her voice when she “desperately needs” to “talk to mom”. I love to here her “Fraggle Rock” ring. :) And she tries to visit when she can. She’s only been there for 7 months, but she works and goes to UofO in Eugene.

So, after all that, just enjoy every moment you have with your children – don’t neglect your #1 and #2, though. God and Sean will help you stay strong and sane for the kidlets. Just waiting till I am a grandma and can spoil them and give them back.

SO much fun! Even though doing stuff with kids is, uh, a little draining, that is when some of the best memories are made.
