um, thanks

wow! you have all been so sweet to me! thanks for all the fun comments and emails from my last post- you have really got my brain spinning. i do love to create things, and making money from that isn’t such a bad idea, but i am NOT a business person. so i just want to make sure i lay that out there for you. i like the idea of an etsy shop, but i’m not sold on it yet. i really don’t want to do any custom orders because thats just too much pressure. i’d rather create something then have it available, rather than trying to meet higher expectations. and then there’s shipping??? how does that work?
so… here’s my attempt at meeting some of your requests. i’m just showing pics of some things i have for sale, with the price and a small description. any better ideas? really, i don’t know what i’m doing – i guess thats pretty obvious. maybe this’ll be a trial run to see if i should open an etsy shop? anyway, if you are interested in any of these items, please leave me a comment or email me @ 5cheneys@gmail.com with any questions you may have. i’m sure i’m leaving out a lot. hmmm, oh yes, the shipping. again, i don’t really know how this works, but everything is really lightweight and fairly small so it can’t be too much. anyone have any advice on this? and all payments would be made through paypal.

    Hello,
That is Peter and Angi. Super small world. Did your husband grow up in Mission Viejo? I think my husband Jason was his neighbor.. Anyway, I think you would do very well with an Etsy shop. You don’t have to do custom orders if you don’t want (they can be a pain) and everything costs just 20 cents to list. I have had nothing but happiness with Etsy… It’s worth a try. Your stuff is so cute!

how fun if you open a shop! i know it will totally do well–you are quite talented. you have a knack for picking good combos and knowing what to make.

i’ve actually been thinking an etsy shop could be a great outlet for you! i did one for myself a while back and would be happy to help you set on up. your creations are beautiful!!

it looks like you totally need to start an etsy shop. its free to open a shop, listings are cheap and easy and last for 3 months. you can add up to 4 or 5 pictures. shipping really isn’t that hard. i do all first class mail so its cheap (as long as your items are under 13 oz.) your can also priority flat rate heavier items for $4.60 for any weight, any where in the u.s. your stuff is so cute. you’ll be sold out in no time! and what’s nice is that you only have to list what you want, so you are in control. what i do is take pictures of everything i make and have lots of listings and when they sell, i make them to order. so you have that freedom too. good luck!

you should make pouches for glasses too -just another thing to add to your plate. but if you do i’ll order 4 of’m, to keep my sunglasses from getting scratched.

okay so i want you to come visit my blog, cause i am really interested in hearing your comment to my latest post.

    see you sunday.

You girls! And all your start up businesses! I have to admit, I’m a little jealous…I wish I had a little girl to buy those cute clips for! While Henry has plenty of hair for it, I do believe Andy wouldn’t approve. :)
