happy mother’s day!

happy mother’s day! i wish we could’ve spent today together, but i know i’ll be with you soon! can’t wait to get started on the house project with you and dad. it will be so nice to have you here more regularly and just right out my back door. i dream of us going on walks with the kids, working in the yard, garage sale-ing, repurposing, playing speed scrabble and ten thousand.
you have always been a wonderful mom, by my side when i needed you, praying for me when i pushed you away. thank you. thank you. thank you. you have taught me so much of what it means to be a mom. i only can hope my kids grow up to like me as much as i like you!
ps – remember that pic above? when you surprised (a very pregnant and overly emotional) me at the airport and joined me to visit j in london? so. much. fun. i’m so glad we got to experience that together!

things i’m thankful for today:
the things that make it mother’s day – my mom and my kids!

dear sweet child… i could not have desired better daughters than you and your sister. you are such a great mom and i guess i must have been a pretty good role model. thank you. i can’t wait to see you next month and start on the big project! my hearts desire is to spend more time with my SLO kids and grands. see you in about 3+ weeks.

sorry i’m sooo behind on catching up on the blogs. it’s been a crazy work week.

I love your mom! (Met her at your shower before you had Silas.) What a fitting tribute to this sweet lady. So well said.
