new music

hey friends! i wanted to tell you really quick about some new music you might want to get your hands on. my brother-in-law, david (pronounced da-veed), is an amazing musician. he has been writing music and singing for as long as i’ve known him – extremely talented and creative. many of you may have heard him at our church last summer during grace summer nights.

well, he just came out with a new cd of 10 hymns. here’s an email from him describing what its about:

it is a simple hymns project to raise money to build a well in Africa, through Blood:Water Mission.
Blood:Water Mission: “exists to promote clean blood and clean water efforts in Africa, tangibly reducing the impact of the HIV/AIDS pandemic while addressing the underlying issues of poverty, injustice and oppression. Blood:Water Mission is building clean water wells, supporting medical facilities, and focusing on community and worldview transformation, both here in America and in Africa.” (taken from their website)

the CD has 10 hymns:
Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus
The Solid Rock
How Marvelous
It is Well
This is my Father’s World
Praise to the Lord
Nothing But the Blood
Joyful Joyful
Then Sings my Soul
Holy Holy Holy
it is mostly acoustic guitar with courtney singing harmonies. plus a little bit of piano, organ, rhodes, ukulele, banjo, and harmonica spread out across it.
it costs 10 dollars and 100% (all 10 dollars) goes right to the organization.
you can purchase the CD through my new website www.davidtoneymusic.com and it will be shipped to you absolutely FREE.
or you could purchase the digital download (256 kbps) and get a BONUS SONG: Jesus Paid it All.
thanks for listening.
it takes 3000 dollars to build a fresh-water well. so it would be great to sell 300 of these things, and then we could all say we built a well together.
feel free to say hi, or leave a message on the website, or buy the CD. or, hopefully, all of the above.
love.

so head on over to his website and get your sweaty little hands on some music that will change the lives of people in africa. ok, go. go now. here’s the link again: go
