thanksgiving surprise

so we were doing what all families do on thanksgiving morning – cutting down trees in their front yard (quick story: beautiful birch trees were diseased, died, kept them because still pretty/loved to watch the birds in them, one fell in the wind = safety hazard = other 2 must go, so sad), right? when who ever should come walking up the street but my sister who lives in london!!!! such an incredible surprise! i was completely shocked when i stepped out the front door and nearly dropped whatever was in my arms (not a child) and ran crying like a baby to her. thankfully the cameras missed that shot!

the weekend was filled with lots of eating (duh), and crafting, and playing. ooh, and my sister dyed and cut my hair – before and after pics to come!

fun times with the cousins.

thank you aunt denise for organizing crafts for the kids and the grown-ups! we made a great christmas banner – details coming soon, i promise!

what i was most thankful for: my sister coming home
what i was second-most thankful for: silas sleeping through the night. did you hear me? through the night! yeah, i know its a little late.
