i ran across these pictures as i was looking for a sample of striped walls for a friend. this was my now almost 6-year old’s room, all prepped and ready to go, waiting for her arrival.

crazy how things have changed. now i look into my backseat and see 3 car seats lined up in a row. i wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Beautiful! Was it difficult painting stripes on the walls?

missy – it wasn’t too hard, but just time consuming. first i painted the whole room the lighter color, then measured out the stripes and marked them with pencil lines rather than taping, because the walls were heavily textured and the paint would seep underneath. i cut in along the pencil lines with a brush then rolled the middle. and when i say “i” did this, i mean my mom, my best friend, and i.

So sweet. I love nurseries and thinking of new arrivals.

Oh, I’ve always wanted to do a striped room! It’s beautiful.

Isn’t it crazy how fast time goes?

Stripes are my favorite! Especially tone on tone.

i look into the back seat of my car and there are no car seats. i am still in disbelief.

awww, cute! I can relate because my firstborn will be 6 in a fortnight. I have two carseats lined up across the back of my car, and I wouldn't trade it for the world either :)
