civil war barn dance

last friday night my kindergartener’s school had a civil war era barn dance, to celebrate the end of the historical era they were studying and the end of the school year.

highlights:
the food was yu-u-u-m
abe lincoln (did you know he was actually a towhead? ;)
location – thousand hills ranch – i want to live there. seriously.
the costumes. did you hear me? the costumes. a.maz.ing.
a suffragist rally – straight from mary poppins, i swear!
father-daughter waltz. tear-jerking.

that night reminded me that our school is amazing. and we are blessed to be a part of it.
