“Letterpress gives a great textual impression, especially if combined with heavy cotton rag paper. It’s a unique look and feel that other forms of printing can’t match. Each piece is hand fed through one of our vintage Chandler & Price Craftsman Presses. We can make most Illustrator files and PDF files into custom plates from which we print from. We use the Pantone Color System for all our ink, so we can color match to most fabrics and paint swatches.”

  3. 3

Our wedding cake (that my mother made) that was covered in fresh flowers and hubby's tux – it was all black (black coat, shirt, tie…)and the only thing he insisted on. :)

  4. 4

My dear friend playing my favorite hymn, Immanuel's Land, as I walked down the aisle. A friend created a beautiful arrangement for her to play. Loved it!!!

  5. 5
    Lindsay Willman says:

I love the picnic baskets I created from wedding-leftovers. For our friend's birthdays, anniversaries, etc. I buy a picnic basket and include a handmade table cloth and napkins, set of wine glasses and charms, and a bottle of red and white wine.

  6. 6

Our engagement was very short and so our wedding was very simple and small. We invited immediate family and our best friends. Seven happy years later that is still my favorite part.

  7. 7

Those cards are too cute! I hope I win!

I'm not married yet, but I've been planning (in my head) :). So far my favorite detail is the save-the-date card. My better half and I want to do a STD like a strip of pictures from a photobooth!!

  8. 8

We had our reception at my grandparents house which is on a beautiful farm and danced on the driveway. We now live in this house and my kids play on this exact driveway. That was almost 10 years ago and makes me smile everytime I think about it.

  9. 9

My bouquet was my favorite. Our colors were dark green and purple. I asked my florist for something seasonal, fragrant, and colorful. My husband and I got married in May in WA State, so this meant peonies, lilacs, tulips, ranunculus, ivy, and even a few evergreens. My florist also put sprigs of lavender and rosemary in it too, so it smelled HEAVENLY. I wish I could recreate that bouquet and put it on my kitchen table today. It was PERFECT!

    mrsnorton says:

Pumpkins! We got married in the fall. I had pumpkins lining the isle as I walked down and we had pumpkins everywhere. It was done very tastefully.

  11. 11

My favorite part was my bouquet! I LOVED it. I wanted it perfect because I was going to have so many pictures with it. It had many beautiful bright colors which were needed during a snowy January wedding.

  12. 12
    Vintage Junky says:

It is our 3rd anniversary today so my wedding is fresh on my mind. I had so many details I love but I really loved my bouquet…or was it my invitations? Bouquet! It had pink and white peonies, green hydrangeas, and hot pink gerbers. It was round and lush. I wish I could have that bouquet on my table every day.

  13. 13

I loved that I carried my grandfather's wedding ring in my bouquet, along with a handkerchief of my great grandmother. both had greatly impacted my life, but had died and it was nice they were represented.

  14. 14

Our invites, hands down. I made them and loved them!

  15. 15
    Cristina says:

One of my favorite things about my wedding was the fact that both my "real" dad and step-dad walked me down the aisle. It would have been hard to choose just one, because they have both been such huge parts of my life. Another fun thing was that Courtney and David sang a song during the ceremony … it was so pretty.

  16. 16

the sushi at the reception! or my mom's veil that i wore….is it ok that i cheated and said two?

  17. 17
    Spencer Family says:

One of my favorite details were our favors. We did jelly bellies in our wedding colors…tangerine, raspberry, and lime. They were delicious and looked really pretty.

  18. 18

I absolutely love beautiful stationery! What a great giveaway. My wedding was a wonderful day. My favorite thing, besides marrying my hubby, was my bouquet- a mix of orange and pink flowers, the peonies were gorgeous. Hope I win. I love a hand-written note.

  19. 19

This is a detail I definitely want in my wedding.. whenever that is! For the RSVP cards, I want a space for the guests to write or draw a note for us the couple… I saw this on Whorange's blog and LOVED IT! It totally makes it personal and interactive!

  20. 20
    3 o'clock walk says:

We are going to have a Granny Smith Apple theme for our wedding (whenever that is). My name is Agnes so I always get teased of how I have an old granny name and my boyfriend's last name is Smith. I have a thing for apples and the green apple color so it all just makes sense ;)

  21. 21

My favorite detail about our wedding was that we couldn't afford nice rings, so we bought cheap ones (we're talking $8… for both) to fill in, and only we knew. Months passed and we bought very nice ones, but I took our "original" ones and tied them with beautiful white ribbon and hung them in a picture box frame with our vows printed on the paper. It's still my favorite frame in the whole house, and nobody has any idea that the rings were the real ones we used!

  22. 22

Hand dipped Chocolates made by my mother in law, to match our color scheme, they were so yummy and delicious.

  23. 23

My favorite detail was that we got married in a garden that had an authentic beautiful white barn for dancing and eating.

  24. 24

    Not married yet…
    aNeMone Paper Flowers… gorgeous.

  25. 25
    Katherine says:

oh goodness…so hard to pick just one… i have a GIANT folder on my desktop with "wedding inspiration" photos. i want to do a december wedding, with white, silver and champaign colors. i want to do wedding programs with an pocket to hold confetti for our walk back down the isle. i want our favors to be hot chocolate packets with our monogram on the packaging. i want our invites to be on super thick paper, and i want them to be custom done (and then duplicated) by a local calligrapher. i want to add berries in with the flower arrangements…. i could go on and on. i've been dating my bf for four years so hopefully all of these dreams will become reality sooner rather than later!! :)

  26. 26

Hmmm…I surprised Cade and sang him Shania Twain's "Any Man of Mine." It was fun to surprise him and he loved it!

  27. 27

so many great memories come to mind! one of the smallest details (and one of my favorites) were the small, 6 oz, glass coke bottles we served out of big, galvanized tubs filled with ice. It took us months to find enough for the wedding (they only come in 6 packs!) but in the end they were totally worth it. Our wedding had a very vintage feel, set on a farm, and the little touches had a huge impact!

  28. 28

i am a first grade teacher and in the months prior to our wedding, i asked my students to help me out. I gave them the prompt: "love is…" and they each finished the sentence. I then collected them all, my hubby-to-be and I arranged them into one poem (titled, "love is") and then my aunt read the poem as one of the readings during our ceremony. it was the perfect touch!

  29. 29
    Joyful Weddings and Events says:

    Yay! I love Becky!

My favorite wedding detail was my bouquet. I started down the aisle with no bouquet and had roses handed to me as I walked down the aisle (I guess you could called it a progressive bouquet!). I had specific people placed on the aisle- starting with my childhood best friend, followed by other very important people to me: including my cancer dr, high school friends, college mentor, girls from the bible study I led, my aunt & uncle and it ended with my mom, who tied the bouquet together with a piece of fabric cut from my dress. It was so special!

I also loved the the sun broke through the clouds as we all sang "blessed be your name". perfect.

Also- I loved that your gracie-o fell asleep right before the ceremony so Sean carried her down the aisle and all through the ceremony.

  30. 30

My favorite detail is that I was married in Hawaii and did not have to worry about any details. I just had to show up.

  31. 31
    sprinklesbowtique says:

hmmm… only one thing!? Our wedding was in the fall and I loved the mums and pumpkins we used as decorations…. and instead of wedding cake we chose pumpkin pie and a cream puff tower… DELISH!

  32. 32

My favorite part about our wedding was the location. We got married in December, crazy I know, and we had the reception in a clubhouse that overlooked a golf course. It was truly a winter wonderland. The facility had a glowing fire and a romantic atmosphere.
Another favorite was the groom, of course!

  33. 33
    MaeGoodale says:

Right before my great grand father and his wife were leaving they pulled us a side and huddled together they gave us an Irish blessing.
    luvs:) Mae

  34. 34

I have 3 fav details from our wedding which was almost 18 years ago on the 22 first I carried my grandfathers wedding ring tied in my bouquet second my great uncle married me and Oh how I love that man:) third my bouquet was all my fav flowers daisys, tigerlillys, and wild flowers.
    Have a wonderful day

  35. 35
    Chrissie says:

My favorite detail was the place cards my mom and I made…My husband and I had a beach theme wedding, since we are FL kids!!! My dad made a HUGE sandbox that we filled with beach sand from the beach we got engaged on. My mom and I hot glued each guest's name and table number to a seashell, and placed them all in our "sandbox." Everyone had a unique item to take home, and they blended in perfectly with the seashells all over our tables!

  36. 36

the pic we took before 15 minutes before the ceremony…both on either side of a door, holding hands, but couldn't see each other. The picture was cool!

  37. 37

My favorite detail was for my something "old" , I carried my grandmother's hankie…it was needed…I cried through the whole prayer that my pastor sang!

  38. 38
    Smiling Mama says:

Even though I got married 6 years ago, I love that blog, too! I am a faithful reader. Hmmm…hard to choose my favorite detail from my wedding because I loved each part of it. But, I truly adored my bouquet. It was mini calla lilies surrounded by lilies of the valley.

  39. 39

Hmmm, my favorite thing from my wedding….my Husband!

  40. 40
    Lasko's says:

besides getting the man of my dreams… it would have to be his hawaiian cousins' pigeon version of 1 corinthians 13…"love is patient…"

  41. 41
    Katie and Matt says:

we celebrate 4 years tomorrow! what a great way to replay it all in my head…

fav detail: our invitations were hand written by my best friend's mother…gorgeous calligraphy.

  42. 42

Definitely the groom! He's really cute, still. :)

  43. 43

I have always played handbells, and the entire handbell choir played several selections– it was fabulous!

  44. 44

Favorite funny detail- When the hubs pulled out a rubber chicken from my dress instead of a garter. The look on everyone's face was priceless.

My husband's favorite detail-he did a "his and hers" proposal, and the "his" proposal was asking me to marry him on a pizza, prior to the romantic proposal…So we had pizzas brought in for the appetizers during cocktail hour.

Favorite sweet detail-I couldn't afford the dress that I loved, so a local seamstress replicated it for me for less than half the price with lace from Nottingham England

  45. 45
    Mommy Laity says:

I had the same sixpence in my shoe that my mom had in hers when she and my dad got married.
My dad also wrote us a song and sang it in the wedding!

  46. 46
    Carly Winborne says:

I have so many, as my wedding was truly the perfect event for me and my family. But my favorite little detail that I doubt anyone else has — the crochet lace baby booties tucked into my bouquet as a symbol of the baby gift given to me when I was born by my husband's parents before he was even conceived! Isn't God's grace amazing?

  47. 47
    christa says:

Not married yet, but I am helping several of my friends plan theirs. While looking through magazines and websites I saw hydrangeas (the flower I already know I want to use) in glass jars. I suddenly got the idea to use antique blue glass ball jars with hydrangeas as my center pieces. I wrote it down and stuck it in my 'ideas' notebook. I envision having the perfect vintage/shabby-chic wedding decor at my wedding. :)

  48. 48
    MeganAnne says:

    I so so so want to carry peonies. {just have to see if they're in season when I get around to getting married}

  49. 49
    Whitni Ann says:

The father-daughter dance. I'm not married yet but I can't wait. I think it will be so special. I want to have that song "I loved her first" play. *Sigh*

  50. 50

my favorite detail was the fact that i had been the made of honor in about 7 weddings and was forever a bridesmaid. I finally married the love of my life after 10 long years and I had not one attendant. It was My husband, myself and our pastor and God…just intimate, and sacred. I love that about my wedding.

  51. 51
    Brittany says:

my favorite detail…we had our wedding in the early afternoon, so we were able to have dinner at a really nice restaurant all by ourselves! it was really nice to relax and think back on the day:)

  52. 52

my favorite detail will be my little girl, i can't wait to find her a beautiful dress

  53. 53
    The Smith Family says:

Hmm… fav. detail. Probably my dress. We went through HELL trying to find one that was perfect! We even spent WAY too much money on one that a lady made me. About 2 weeks before the wedding I put it on and cried and sobbed because I felt SO ugly! My mom and I dedicated our ENTIRE LIFE… those next two weeks, shopping like crazy! We found what we wanted… a week before the big day. Did we spend TONS, in the end. YES. But it was TOTALLY worth it.

  54. 54

My mom and I put together my wedding entirely by ourselves. We used a polka dot theme in small places, like the table runners, the bows on the flower girl baskets, and the polka dot cake! So fun!

  55. 55

too many details to choose from! i loved wrapping my flowers in my dad's monogrammed handkerchief, symbolizing my old name/life. also the boutonnieres were made of rolled up rose petals and looked like calla lilies.

  56. 56
    amykate says:

We had a morning wedding with a brunch reception…always has been my favorite meal…and we were on a plane by 2pm to our honeymoon.

  57. 57
    Your cool friend Cheryl says:

I loved my dress so much! I would wear it everyday if I could.

  58. 58

My fav wedding detail is that we did the bride/groom professional pics – the week AFTER the wedding! We had a photographer at the wedding to take the regular wedding pics, but we didn't want to be rushed or stressed for the professional pics. This way we were able to relax and have a fun time – while also getting some gorgeous photos!

  59. 59
    Phil and Bri Seston says:

We are celebrating 2 years on the 23rd! I can still remember the first time that we got to see each other. It was private and we both cried, we were so happy! He was so handsome and I knew he was so excited to marry me! I also loved that my dad drove us away from the church in his red 32 Ford Tudor Hot Rod…he was a happy daddy!

  60. 60

    anxiously hopeful says:

The wedding was simple and elegant but the MARRIAGE is my favorite part.

  63. 63

My favorite detail about our wedding is the flowers. We had a winter wedding and had all whites with some evergreens. The best part (I thought) was the mixture of star of Bethlehem, sugar pine and tulips -so pretty!

  64. 64
    J, T & Pika says:

Fun question! So many details to choose from…if I had to narrow it down…I was crazy and HAND STAMPED all of our invitations with a custom made stamp (they looked soo good though)…we picked the hymns that our wedding party walked down the aisle because of their words and included in our program why we chose the words…I hand embroidered hankies for each of my bridesmaids with their initial (due to the fact we were/are all criers)…oh, and my most favorite detail (unplanned) we kissed at the wrong part of our ceremony…who does that??? :)

  65. 65

  66. 66

I loved my wedding day! It rained 45 minutes before my outdoor reception but, nothing could bring me down! I had a short 1950's inspired dress that went well with the muddy grass! I think my favorite detail looking back was how happy I was and that I knew nothing else mattered because in the end it would be the perfect day!

  67. 67
    Mama Sons says:

Ahh My cowboy boots center pieces.. And my husband of course! I'm helping my friend plan her wedding and I get so excited like it is mine. WHat a wonderful day!

    Christina says:

My favorite part of my wedding – getting married! I was soooo happy to become my guy's wife. He was everything I ever wanted and then some! The actual wedding was a bit of a disappointment … lots of things didn't work out quite right … but I had to focus on the good – we were married for better or for worse (and boy have we handled A LOT of the "worse")!! :o)

  69. 69

My favourite things was our cupcake tree (instead of traditional cake)!

  70. 70
    Empty Nest Full Life says:

I have been married far too long, and at that time we did not do detail. I will tell you a favorite detail about my daughters. I loved the table decor. I made sheer olive table toppers and some tables had ivory candles w/ rocks and and olive ribbon tied with their last initial. We put all of these together and had lots of fun. Jackie

  71. 71

All of the handmade elements my mom spend countless hours creating for us … table linens and napkins, cakes and pies for dessert, my husband's embroidered handkerchief. All those little touches really made it unique and personal!

  72. 72
    MrsSouthernBelle says:

My favorite wedding detail was all of the personalization/ HOURS of time that went into creating it.

  73. 73
    aproapealb says:

I'd like my wedding to be simple and sincere. I'd like to have a Golden Retriever to bring the ring on a pillow tight to his head :) Labradors are always happy (and i'm crazy about them) so it will eb a happy memory for sure :) is i have so meat to make him come to me in the right moment :)

I'd like to have only close friends, in a forest (or close to one). I'd like it to be a wedding without money or presents, so people will not feel bad when I will invite them. (Cause in my country that's what usually happens when you hear about a weddig :) )

Id like to lay down in the grass after the wedding with my husbad, to look at the sky and to feel that everything is perfect :) and that we're the most amazing gifts to each other. To feel God.

  74. 74

The moment we were doing our ring exchange and for *some* reason I gave him my right hand and we couldn't figure out why on earth the ring wouldn't fit-kept pushing and pushing then we burst into laughter-as did everyone else when we figured it out. I just had to look at everyone and shrug and roll my eyes…great tension breaker-lol.

  75. 75

My wedding reception was on the 26th floor of a hotel in downtown South Bend IN. At around 9 or 10pm fireworks started going of with a perfect view from our reception. We had nothing to do with them of course but it was an awesome free addition to our night!

  76. 76
    The Weaver Family says:

I remember whispering to my husband, these communion crackers are so stale. He whispered he had picked them up at kmart. Not a very religious moment but hillarious none the less.

  77. 77

My husband and I have known each other since we were four years old. When it came time to kiss the bride, he lifted my veil and kissed my forehead first, then my lips. It was the sweetest thing. I boohooed like a baby and so did everyone else!

  78. 78
    Mrs_Faz says:

My favorite detail was when I sang to the hubby. NO ONE knew about it and it came out so sweet. Good Times!

  79. 79
    jen nichols says:

    andreaberg says:

The favorite part of my wedding was dancing with my mother for the "father/daughte" dance. I had recently lost my father and when I came up to her and asked her to dance instead – she was so happy. It was really beautiful.

  81. 81
    Jeff and Robin says:

My favourite detail from our wedding was a little clip that Jeff and I saw in a mom and pop shop near my parent's house. It was actually a brooch but I had the hairdresser figure out a way to get it into my hair. I wore only earrings and the brooch in my hair for jewelry. Jeff's fav song at the time was "California Stars", so that was my little nod to him. That star pin and my favourite photo (see my blog)… those are my favourite details. When my brother-in-law got married in the same church a few years later, Jeff married them and I wore the brooch again. He noticed.

  82. 82

Other than the obvious (my adorable husband) my favorite detail was my bouquet, made by my good friends. It was all white, packed with hydrangeas, roses, tulips, and ranunculus. It was so heavy, but I loved it!

  83. 83
    lulusparkles says:

    hmmmm…..let's see that was 20 years ago….ah yes it is coming back to me now. i loved our wedding cake that looked like a stack of presents with a tiffany blue box on the top {an idea stolen from martha}

  84. 84

I loved that it was all about us! We planned and did it all ourselves – no input from anyone! Every little detail was about things we loved and that mattered to us! And that's the way it should be :)

  85. 85

I have two, one was my colors..each bridesmaid wore a different color (Purple, lime green, blue, pink, yellow and orange) and the other was my great grandmothers cross necklace, all of the women in my family wore it on their wedding day.

  86. 86

We had white tulle EVERYWHERE…it looks like a fluffy cloud very soft and inviting.

  89. 89
    Crystal Garcia says:

i'm not married, however one day I would instead of having a guest book, I'd have a couple of old type writers where guests can type up a little message.

  90. 90

  91. 91

  92. 92

Big bowls of fresh fruit from the farmers market all cut up and delicious, and such beautiful fresh colors!

  93. 93

My reception location…it was in my Dad's airplane hangar. Lots of white Christmas lights and the place was transformed! Thanks for the giveaway, I ADORE letterpress!

  94. 94

I'm not married, but a detail for my wedding would be to have a candy bar with all of our favorite candies in different size and shape glass jars. Guests would be able to pick the ones they like and put them in a little bag, decorated with the wedding colors, to enjoy :-)

My wedding is planned for October and my favorite part has been venue shopping. We had just moved to Charleston, SC and wanted our wedding to truly be ours and a reflection of our new life in Charleston. We looked at 36 locations! Standing together in each location and picturing our wedding was perfect and very romantic. We aren't the romantic type so to stand there and daydream about the future was really sweet and I love those memories.

  96. 96

Our wedding was small…only our closest of closest! I loved it that way

  97. 97

Our wedding cake! It was almond cheesecake with sugared fruit on top. It was really good!

    Nancy Sabina says:

I suppose if I were being cheesy I would say…the groom. But in a more materialistic way, I would say the reception at my Aunt's home. It was just the small, intimate, but amazingly elegant party I wanted.

  99. 99

We got married at my home 14 yrs ago this July. He had been married before and this was my
1st time (at age 35!!) We had a small ceremony with only immediate family and close friends.Since my parents had been divorced for years and my dad wasn't in the picture, when the minister said "Who gives this woman…" my family members (Mom, sister, brother, aunt, cousin, etc) answered "We do". I loved that part because we all do everything as a family and it was only fitting that they answered that way!

  100. 100

Hmmm… my favorite detail? Probably my little 16-month old niece… and all the Air Force men. :-)

    Sprinkel Queen says:

We've been happy, married for almost two years now and my favorite memory from our wedding was the custom 'Candy Buffet' we had to share all of our favorties like an old fashioned candy shop with our friends as their own choice of favors in adorable bags with our name and date on them to fill with whatever they liked!

  102. 102

Well next to the location (Italy!), I would have to say the food was unbelievable, unforgettable!! Our anniversary was yesterday…4 years and 2 babies later! Thanks for the chance!!

  103. 103

my favorite detail will be the groom. and the fact that all of the people we love the most will be there!

  104. 104

The dancing – it was the funnest part of the night.

I think the string quartet we splurged for at the last minute was my favorite! It was so pretty to walk down the aisle to the beautiful harmonies! And I loved walking down the aisle looking at my husband and smiling and waving at all the friends from all walks of life!

I've always wanted lots of children in and at my wedding. I love kids and I think they are a reminder of the child-like faith we are called to have. I want them to surround me and my husband-to-be on that very special day. For sure lots of little white wagons pulled by kids and filled with kids.

Being that I am from Australia and moved here to marry my American husband, the best detail of my wedding was having my Mum, Grandma and sister at the wedding. It's hard being away from your homeland and not having everyone "available" to be with you on such a special day, so it was wonderful that they could be with me.

Oooh oooh pick me! I'm not married and I don't know if it will ever happen. So I'll share my favorite wedding memory: Doing my sister's hair before her wedding ceremony. I felt honored that she trusted me with her head! And she looked like a princess. :)

We got married in Hawaii and I loved all the beautiful native flowers at our wedding. We had them every where- on our cake, lei's for our guest, a special lei for my hubby, etc.

Just as we begain to say our vows it started to lightly drizzle, something still feels magical about it to this day…. Rain seems to be common when it comes to special events in our life, it also rained the days we brought each of our girls home from the hospital. :)
