happy birthday and thank you

birthday:

happy birthday, babe!

you are a wonderful husband and father, and we are blessed beyond measure to have you as ours. i am blessed to call you my own. thank you for being the man that you are: the provider, supporter, snuggler, bedtime book reader, laugh-inducer, smile-maker, room brightener, encourager. thank you for loving us the way God designed for you to.

and thank you:

thank you to my in-laws, art and lynda.

thank you for making sean the man that he is today. thank you for the home environment that you raised him in. thank you for the church you raised him in, for the biblical teaching you gave him and the foundations you set. thank you for teaching him a good work ethic by not giving him all he wanted, but making him work for it. thank you for encouraging him in sports and the confidence you gave him in them. thank you for praying for him. thank you for praying for me. thank you for teaching him what it means to be a man, and how to treat a woman. thank you for instilling a very good sense of humor in him, that laughter is a part of life. thank you for teaching him life-skills, for teaching him how to use a hammer and how to make a meal. thank you for valuing family time and making that a priority. thank you for valuing your friendships and teaching him to do the same. thank you for making him so darn like-able (and all your kids, actually)! thank you for your marriage and the example you set for him while he was young. thank you for loving him the way that God designed for you to, so that he in turn is able to love us the way that God designed.
thank you. thank you. thank you.

What about his older sisters and the endless teasings and tosses down the stairs? Didn't any of that help mold him into what he is today?!?!?!? Just kidding. We love you guys and Thank You Lindsey for being the perfect match for my lil bro. Love you!

Wouldn't it be the best thing ever to get a letter like that from your daughter-in-law, after you spent so much time and energy raising your son? That's what I strive for, really.
    Love it.
    And Happy Birthday!

Ha – I was gonna write the same thing as Heath – What about the sisters – putting him in dresses and heals, making him eat gross stuff, tickling him until he peed his pants?? I think his humbleness is because of us – or his mental problems :) Just Kidding!! I love you Sean and am very proud of the man you have become! And Linds you are the answer to our prayers for him! (and you make cute babies!!) I love you both – Happy Bday Beanhead!!!!

    p.s. very sweet post Linds…..

Thank you for the sweet comments. It brought tears to my eyes. Its one thing for your kids to say nice things but it is very very special when your daughter-in-law says them. We are very proud of the man Sean has become. he is a great father, husband, son and man of God.(pretty darn cute too). We prayed for God to send a special woman for Sean and He more than answered our prayers. We love you all and miss you. Hope to see you soon. Happy Birthday Seanie. Hope you have a great day. Thanks again Linds.

    Lindsey,
It is beautiful to have thought those things, but it becomes so much more a blessing to many when you take the time to write them for all to see! Thank you for encouraging me as the mother of sons that the work I am involved in may one day be as appreciated as you have shared with your parents- in -love. I am weeping for the joy that your words give to them and most of all to your sweetheart!
    Happy Birthday Sean!
