bend: day one – 4th of july

we’re here in beautiful bend, oregon, visiting our friends ricky and nicole (and fam)! the drive we anticipated to take about 11 hours actually took us only… 14 hours! but it wasn’t really bad – the kids were awesome and we just didn’t rush on all our stops.

we woke up (too early) on the 4th and walked downtown to drake park for a pancake breakfast.

then we let the kids burn a little energy for a bit by the beautiful deschutes river that runs through town.

next we all walked in a parade through the main streets of downtown.

we saw this ridiculous little dog tied to some HUGE balloons that actually floated in the parade!

silas crashed partway through the parade, and we were super hot, so we ducked out early from the parade and headed home for some pool time and ice cream bars. and a lot of mess.

getting in little bits of work here, which is super fun to do with nicole, since i completely trust her design style and i get a fresh new perspective on my own products.

hopefully i’ll get in an update everyday, but computer usage is minimal this week. if you’re interested in a tutorial on the girls’ tank tops, come back next week. i’ll also give you a link on making the skirts. fun fun!

I found your blog through another gal's blog today because I noticed you had Bend in your title. I grew up in Bend. It's so beautiful there. Your pictures are just gorgeous!
