boutique busyness

sorry for being m.i.a. a bit lately.
i sold at a boutique at a friends’ a couple weeks ago, then i had a boutique at my house last thursday.
i have another on tuesday, then again on sunday.
and beyond just being busy prepping for the boutiques, my shop has been really busy, too!
i’m constantly updating, as quickly as i can get more things made, but things are selling faster than i can make them.
not complaining – it’s a good problem to have;)
but those are my excuses for not posting regularly.
if you get a chance and need to do some more christmas shopping, head over to the pleated poppy shop and buy now because things are going fast.
there are only a few petal pushers left, the tea towels are nearly all gone, only one posy headband left.
but i did just add a bunch of crayon rolls to the shop – what kid wouldn’t want one of those in their stocking?

for your viewing pleasure, here’s some pics of the boutique at my house.
these were taken before it started and i didn’t get all the vendors.
it was a crazy busy night, so thank you so much to all the vendors for promoting this event, and thanks so much to all who attended!

new towel design – kind of dr. seuss, don’t ya think?

these bean bags were handmade by an almost-11 year old friend.
a.mazing. she sold out, of course.

and these lunch box fortune cookies were made by her almost-13 year old sister.
inside each cookie is a little note, so you put one of these in your kids’ lunch boxes for school.
genius! she sold out early as well.

i didn’t get any pics of emily’s work, so i had to steal this one from her blog.
see the bottom hat on the right? it’s on my head right now!

this was kristi’s debut boutique. she made these fabulous fabric bowls and door stoppers.
my favorite use for these was when i saw a customer walking around with one in her hand filled with my posies. *love* that idea!

dondi was there with her beautifully handcrafted dondibags.

krystina had her beautiful cards, pendants, and playdate cards.
i didn’t get a good pic, but she made some adorable stationary for me with a vintage sewing machine and stitches all around.

and lisa was there with her jewelry at some rippin’ deals!

if you are local, i’ve got another boutique tomorrow night at salon 62 in atascadero from 4-8, and another in arroyo grande on sunday at joy’s from 1-4.
email me if you need more details!
