Hi! I am trying to convince my husband to let me put a white couch in the family room – inspired by you! My question is where did you get yours?? I like the sectionals online at IKEA but am unsure of the quality and love your white couch, thanks!!!

    Cute birthday idea!

Q: With small children, what is your cleaning schedule like? Do you do it all in one day or spread out tasks throughout the week ?

How do you come up with the themes for your birthday parties? Would you ever consider doing a birthday party consultation on the side? :)

I love your blog and your shop! Such cute things–you are inspirational! My question is this: What advice could you give my 16-year-old daughter about starting a business and opening an etsy site?
    Thanks,
    Amber (from Colorado)

    I love Q and A's!

    Here are my questions…
How did you come to the decision to start homeschooling? How do you juggle being a mom, wife, friend, disciple of Jesus, etc. AND a busy business owner? How did you come to know the Lord?

LOVE your blog!! Okay, my question, how did you become such a good sewer (not sure that's an actual word??) Did your mom teach you, did you teach yourself, classes?? I have slowly been teaching myself, but it's frustrating. I'm scared to try anything that requires more than a straight stitch!

  13. 13

I LOVE parties as you know. <3 This looks like a treat to see.

can we see your bedroom? did you ever finish it??
and have we seen all the other rooms? i'd love to see them! also – how do you organize your own and your children's clothes?!

  15. 15

My question is about homeschooling…what prompted your decision to keep your kids home and do you have any advice for those thinking about it/just starting out?

Hello! Cute birthday idea!! I'm working on my youngest first birthday invites and decorations right now also! I'm going with a cupcake polka dot theme.
So my question is about blogging. I just recently started my own blog and have linked back to several other blogs (including yours) giving credit for inspiration, tutorials etc. I'm just worried that I haven't done it properly. I just don't want to break any blogger rule or commit a faux pas…because I would just feel terrible. So any insight you could give on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

q: how do you stay so trim and fit? would you consider sharing meal ideas and/or recipes and what you do for excercise?

Could you show a picture of the front of your house with the steps…I saw it on one of your party blogs and we are re-doing the front of our house…we need a serious cute character update!
    Thanks!!!

You inspire me! The only question I can come up with is…….what is the length of your Lisa Leonard necklaces? I love the length and don't know which one to order! ;)

  21. 21

How fun for Silas! Love your birthday ideas!
Q: Homeschooling, how/when do you do it and what are your favorite resources?

  22. 22

How do you travel with three little ones without packing everything and the kitchen sink!? :) Also, how did you get started opening an Etsy shop/blog?

  23. 23

Ok…would you ever consider doing smaller covered notebooks for kids? Kiddie fabric/or more child-like fabric? My 4 year old little girl LOVES mine (all 8 of them :) ) and I would love to get one for her in her size. :)

I can't wait to hear your answer to "are you happily married." :) :) :)

Hi- I am a couple of "personal" questions- I found your blog from Vanessa's when you did a guest post there. I LOVE your blog.
So… how many kids do you have total, and how old are they? I think I remember a post that you said you homeschool all the time or part of the time? How does that work? How did you get started crafting and selling your creations? I am guessing you are pretty profitable (I LOVE your stuff!). Are you surprised by that? Do you have plans to expand your "operations"? :)

    Thanks!!!

I would also love to see a picture of the front of your house! I love all the rooms and decorations but i need to see there outside! :)

Second question… Do you ever think… "why do i answer all these personal questions for the whole world to read?" :)

  28. 28

What's your budget for birthday parties?

    Elizabeth says:

I love the monkey themed party! The invites are adorable.

Q: how many kids are you inviting? and what kinds of crafts & activities are you doing? I'm curious because my little boy is having a b-day in Oct. I'd love to hear more details!

Also love your blog…yours is the first one I check when I sit down for some blog-reading time! :) My question for you is about pictures you use in your blog…when you put in photo collages or photos with rounded corners, do you first work on them in photoshop or some other digital editing program? And then do you just upload that collage or edited pic into blogger? For instance-the Christmas summary pics with all the little squares (loved it!) but how? I could really use some advice on this! Thank you!

Always loving your blog and Wednesdays especially :)
I would love to know how you describe your personality.
Also, how do you find being a stay at home Mum? (I am also a stay at home Mum to 4 children.)
Do you get lonely? Do you debrief with friends and really share all the bad bits as well as the good bits?
I am finding that I don't get to do that now with my closest friend. (she lives interstate and has gone back to work fulltime.)
It is also hard to make new, true friends that you can open up and really share with, so how do you find that you make new friends?
Okay, lots of questions there, will leave them with you :)

How did you decide to start selling your treasures? I would LOVE to be a SAHM and find something to make\sell…but it's hard to find time and convince the hubby. Where did you sell first- web, etsy, craft fairs, etc. LOVE YOUR BLOG!

  34. 34

How did you come up with the decor for your home? Did you start with things you already had, or did you base your design choices on what was already there in the house? Your color selections are so stunning–did you know right away that they were what you wanted to use in your home, or did it take some careful consideration?

Hi there…I do some sewing and find the cutting prep work so tedious, not to mention it keeps my chiropractor busy! Do you cut all your own stuff or does someone help you? Have you found an easy way to do an assembly line? Also, do you prewash all your fabrics for your products? When you posted that you got 60 yards of new fabric the other day all I could think was "wow, if she pre-washes she has a ton of laundry to do!" LOL Also, since I'm on a roll, do you sometimes find the price of a table at art fairs worth the price balanced with your profits? Sometimes I wonder if my efforts are really worth while.

  38. 38

I want to know what your daughters' names are! I know you've mentioned your son's name, but do we know your daughters'?

  39. 39

    What an adorable birthday theme!!!

My question is this.. How do you keep your kids occupied while you do your projects? Anytime I try to sit down and sew or do a craft- my kids want to "help" and won't let me finish anything!
