i’m a big girl now!

this year has brought about a bunch of changes for me.

my kids are changing and growing and moving way out of the baby stage.

yay and boo all at the same time!

all 3 kids are in school a couple days a week and i find myself nearly giddy with my alone time.

i feel like a grown up.

and i know, that just by calling myself a “grown up”, that i probably am not one ;)

but really, it feels strange!

and now, as in right now, i am on a plane to minneapolis for the creative connection!

i feel all fancy with my in-flight internet access,

and catching up on emails and blogging,

all while traveling solo.

weird.

grown up.

NOT me.

my business has evolved in a way that has truly caught me by surprise.

if someone asked what i do for work,

i still feel like my answer is, “i don’t work.  i’m a stay at home mom”.

but really, really i’m a work at home mom.

i feel like the “mom” part should come first, but whatever.

i’m also a business owner and need to take pride in that, take ownership.

so here i am. fancy. traveling by myself. me and my 120 lbs of luggage.

off to see familiar faces, online friends, fabric icons and sell sell sell!

if you want to join me on my journey this week, please follow me on twitter.

i guarantee i’ll make a fool of myself and fill you in on it!

Hi! Welcome to Minneapolis! Are you by chance going Junk Bonanza? It’s this weekend too in a suburb of Mpls! thought I would mention it. Fabulous stuff. (I’m not affiliated with it, fyi.)

    What is the Junk Bonanza?
The Bonanza hosts more than one hundred juried “junk” vendors of vintage finds, beautiful antiques, one-of-a-kind and artisan-repurposed pieces. There’s also a farm market with local harvest goods and gourmet treats, plus plenty of other activities and displays to explore.

I don’t know if you are having a hard time with any of this, but I just wanted to write and tell you that I really like your blog. I’ve followed it for a few months and I feel like you are really honest without being “look at me” and I think that’s cool.

Have fun at your convention and keep up the good work! I really enjoy it.

funny how after staying home for so long … when you branch out… you do get that feeling of
“oh … I am all grown up now”…. haha… back to being “me” a little… refreshing… =) exciting about how your business is growing…. !! I am still trying to come up with one area to settle into and maybe try to make something of my craftyness…. I tend to be all over the place! blogging is helping me rethink it… turn it into something maybe!?
