what i wore wednesday

happy wednesday everyone!

thanks for joining me for “what i wore” wednesday.  for those of you who are new and think i am just a crazy person that likes taking pictures of herself, let me give a little background:  i started wiww because i needed accountability in the general appearance department as a stay/work at home mom.  i would go for days on end without leaving the house and stay in sweats or jammies all day (what was the point in getting dressed for homeschool days?).  but i started taking pictures of myself and i didn’t like what i saw, what my husband saw, or what my kids saw.  and now that i am putting in a little more effort and documenting it here, i feel better about myself, and am ready to head out of the house more often, rather than just going out in my sweats.  so many of you have seen yourself in my position and are joining up with me for accountability – thank you so much for the support!  this has grown so so much, which i never really expected.  but, i know there are many of you who have already taken pics, but are too afraid to link up.  so as a little encouragement, if we reach over 100 links this week, i’ll give you all a little present!  and i know the linky has been a little funky the last couple weeks and i’m hoping to work it out this week.  don’t worry – all the links are there, you just may have to click over to the linky to see them – sorry!

I love the look with the f21 top and the yellow scarf! So cute. Apparently I need to check out f21 because you seem to get the cutest things there. :) Can you show us how you tied your scarf in that picture?

Love your sequined top and the skirt you wore to the wedding!

    Adorable as always!

Hi Lindsay, I always love to see what you are wearing – you always look great. I did a post today about some of my thrifty outfits so I decided to join in. Thanks for hosting!

Thanks for hosting the fun. I like the new Forever 21 skirt and the price, too! That’s my favorite–Anthro look with Wal-Mart price!

  5. 5

Beautiful! You found such cute stuff at Forever 21 that I’m going to have to resist heading over there for an online shopping spree. :)
Thank you again so much for the link party.

  10. 10

some day I will find a Forever 21 and shop there. :) too cute outfits (and camera strap!)

  11. 12

Lindsey, how sad is this that i was thinking “what will i do today?” (I am out of work due to an injury) and said to myself “well, it’s wednesday. L’s ‘what I wore’ post should be up”. I love that you can shop at forever 21 and not have it look too young for you. you have embraced your inner-21 year old.

  12. 13

So many cute looks this week! I LOVE the sequined top! So cool.
I was at the Relevant conference this week and was blessed with one of your pins… thanks so much for giving those to all of us!! Have a great rest of the week.

  13. 14

I love this weekly post! I need to do it SO bad, but I can’t cuz the only mirror I have is my mirror over the sink!

  14. 15

I am LOVIN’ your second outfit and wedding outfit! You are a well dressed Mama :) And the links are back to normal – yay!

  15. 16

Though I’ve been following your blog for sometime now I have yet gotten the courage to take pictures of my daily outfits to post, but I love that you are wanted accountability in your appearance. I’m a stay at home Mom too and I certainly know that even when I stay in my pj’s for the day it still doesn’t feel as good as when I make an effort to put a cute outfit together. So I hoping by next Wednesday I’ll be able to link up!

And even though Stacy & Clinton wouldn’t really care for your comfy grandpa sweater from Target ~ I LOVE it, and say keep it as long as you can, even if it’s only to lounge around your house on a chilly, rainy day.

  16. 17

Thank you so much for starting this concept and now hosting for all of us! It’s been so fun following you and joining in. You are a great inspiration!

  17. 18

Hmmm.. I may need a Petal Pusher. I love the outfits – and had fun participating this week! I would love to wear the dress/tunic look over jeans, but I may actually be too old for that one. Dang it..

  18. 19

how cute you are! It is great to get new ideas … I think I might enter the legging world soon.

  19. 20

LOVE that glittery top! Awesome price, too. Just linked up for the first time – I let my daughter model all week :)

  20. 21

    Such a fun glitter top!

  22. 23

Linking up now for the first time. Id LOVE a tute or whatever on how you take your pictures. Im struggling with taking LARGE clear photos like yours so its hard to actually SEE the outfit! Help!

  23. 24

I just want you to know I look forward to this post every week. I am inspired by your cute clothes, your inshape body, and your thrifty shopping with such great results. I was shopping on Monday with my sis and mom for my birthday. I was totally thinking about you, these posts, and the styles I was looking for…thanks to you. I had great success, some basics, some fun splurges, and a pair of workout shoes so I can look like you..hehe! Anyway, thanks Lindsey for these posts, keep them coming! Hope you have a great rest of the week!

  24. 25

    Hot mama in the sequins!

  25. 26

You look great!! Amazing finds at F21…it’s difficult to find something longer than my hoo-ha there! Is it bad I linked a few things…just to help nudge towards the 100 links?! :)

    xo

  26. 27

Cute as usual! I love all the cardis! I keep meaning to buy longer ones because I think they are adorable. I also love the way you tied up the scarf! My sister in law wears scarves a lot and I want to but I don’t know if I can pull it off! haha Can’t go wrong with the peep toe shoes either! lol Thanks for some inspiration!

  27. 28

You looked adorable everyday (well, you always do, but I love each outfit!). I especially love the sequin top. Oohhlala!

  28. 29

Love the outfits in picture #1 & 2! Would you mind sharing what brand shirts you are wearing? Is the black/white shirt still available at Target – or is that an older shirt?

I was just referred to your site & I LOVE this series!!

      hi jennifer!

the grey t-shirt is miley cyrus from walmart, i thiink, and the black and white one is old from target.

  29. 31

I love your comfy old sweater! Don’t retire it quite yet, no matter what Stacy and Clinton might think. It looks perfect for curling up on the couch with a good book and a mug of tea by your side.

  30. 32

i love all of your outfits! you inspire me!

  31. 33

Love, love the sweaters this week!

  32. 34

I want to join in!!! But, it’s probably too late to get on the 100’s list isn’t it? I have yet to take pictures of my outfits. I’m going to start doing this though, because, seriously it seemed as if I wrote your post above about staying in jammies, etc.

I’m so doing this. I will be in touch!

Thanks for your awesome blog. :)

  33. 35

PLEASE show us how to tie a scarf like that!! So cute!

  34. 36

Ms. Lindsey, you look lovely as always! Love that black and white top in the second pic.

  35. 37

I love this. Every week I look forward to seeing what you wore. I want to participate and today I FINALLY went and bought a full-length mirror (I’ve been living in this house for FOUR YEARS without one!?) and when Nathan went to get it out of my car, he broke it! So thanks to WIWW my husband now has seven years of bad luck! LOL! Also, YES! Please show us how to tie a scarf like that.

  36. 38

Again, I am loving all of your outfits. The sweaters! The boots! That awesome deep blue dress and pink cardi–AND then you added more awesome with the yellow scarf. I’m basking in your awesomeness.

Glad you and your husband had a weekend away–what fun!

  37. 39

How exciting! I got brave enough to enter and I’m link #99! Just one more to make 100!

  38. 40

HI! My friend and I are wondering how you tied your yellow scarf. Please email me back! Thanks!

  39. 41

I agree! Please divulge your scarf-tying secrets!

  40. 42

OMG, I think I just made 100!! Whoop whoop! ;) Loving all of the new stuff, especially the sequin tank!

  41. 43

I LOVE so much how your WIWW’s have GROWN!!! I keep saying I am going to get on board, but so far I’m just a sideline fan! I love to see everyone’s outfits and get inspired…. thinking “I have that or something like it, I could totally wear those together!”
