monday miscellaneous

we have this week off of school (YAAAAY!) and i am so looking forward to enjoying every minute we have to lay around, make gifts, wrap gifts, enjoy our soon-to-be-visiting family, get some christmas crafts done, enjoy cooking dinner (imagine that!), relax and catch up on some work.

yep, i’m working on christmas posies! i’m hoping to have them done later today and show them to you tomorrow (high hopes).

i was loving the morning light streaming in to the house this morning – its been foggy or raining in the mornings for a bit now, so waking up to the sunshine was a nice surprise!

another shot from my work table: more grey petal pushers in the beginning stages.  in my dream of a most productive day, these will be done by tomorrow, too.

yay!  more tiny pouches, and new styles too!  i just need to add snaps to these itty bitties… put that on the list.

2 more versions of the wristlet clutch, just need the ribbon pulls.

need to rsvp for this party!  its a costume party – any suggestions for sean and i?  i am so bummed i passed up on a super cute sailor costume on sale after halloween!

speaking of christmas, i have a project in the works that i’ve been thinking about since LAST christmas.  its getting done today.  ok, this week.

and while i’m busy in my workshop,

these 3 little elves keep dancing around me.

looks like one of my elves needs some new jammies, which reminds me i have the fabric for that project… add that to the list!

i hope your week is as productive as i’m pretending mine will be!

You and Sean could be Gingerbread Man and Woman! I think it would be soo cute, being it’s a holiday party. Should be fairly easy to make something too. Ric rac, some big buttons & felt?? Enjoy your week!

You should definitely go as a Who! Last year I went to a Whoville Whobilation Christmas party and all the costumes were so bright and fun! I made a headband out of a christmas bowl and cup. Glued marshmallows in the cup and christmasy candy in the bowl. You’re super creative, you’d make something awesome!

there is something about the holidays that puts the pressure on to finish and add projects to our list. I repainted all the trim in my house today just so it looked nice for the Holidays. I am excited to see all the projects you get done this week.
    Have a great holiday.

Yeah! I need to make a mental note to check back for the grey petal pushers! (And maybe pick up a covered notebook for my ever-growing to-do list which is right now on a bright, but not very fun clipboard.)

I teach and have the week off as well, so I’m enjoying a relaxing day like you. I’ve got to get one of those wristlet clutches – your work is beautiful! I’ve got three little elves myself, how do they have so much energy all the time? :)

  23. 23

I have a question for you…I am new to crafts and diy projects and you’re a huge inspiration! Do you use a special tool to cut out all those petal pusher petals faster or do you have to cut each one out by hand!?
