what i wore wednesday

i made a big effort this week to not hide behind the camera.  and i don’t like it.  its sooo uncomfortable to try to smile or even look decent – i much prefer the camera in my face!  i don’t know how so many of you do it so naturally!

i actually only wore this outfit out of the house for an hour or so, the rest of the day was spent in yoga pants and a tank, cleaning the house.

sweater tee & grey thermal – target

jeans – forever 21

flats – marshall’s

necklace – lisa leonard designs

grey and parisian stripe petal pushers – the pleated poppy yes, i know they are all sold out – my poor wrists need a christmas break!

this one needed documenting!  i absolutely adore lily’s outfit choices, and love even more giving her the freedom to express herself through her clothes.  and even more, i love not battling her over clothes.

cocktail party

don’t let the picture fool you – i only wore those heels for the amount of time it took me to walk across the house to get my camera, take this pic, then back to the kitchen.  then i kicked them off and never put them on for the rest of the night – yay for comfort!

tank – forever 21

tulle skirt – target when i was prego with lily (it’s safety pinned to fit better now)

heels – mervyn’s before they closed

rainy day outfit

hat – zoe clothing (can’t find it on their website, but *love* it!)

sweater & boots – target

jeans – forever 21 (i live in these jeans)

oops!  i forgot to add the linky – that’s what happens when you do a post ahead of time!

so presh! i hope to jump on the WIWW wagon {WIWW-W??} for 2011! i nanny a family of 3 girls – in addition to my own little pre-toddler! – and i get there at 5:30 in the morning! i need something to motivate me for more than sweats and a ponytail!

i let the girls i watch pick out any clothes they want to wear, and sometimes their choices are extremely creative, to say the least. but i love letting them express themselves. it’s so fun to find other’s with similar parenting techniques…. her outfit was so cute and fun and oh so fitting for a child! i would love to dress like that again :)

    Love your style.

Love Lily’s too! Her haircut is adorable. I only wish someone had suggested a sassy bob for me circa 1976. The Dorothy Hammil was just not all that flattering.

Thanks Linds! (Wait, that was awfully familiar. All Lindsey/say’s I know I call Linds. Hope that’s OK)

I LOVE that your daughter looks like that! My 5 year old has quite the personal fashion sense and I send her off to school looking quite interesting some days. She takes Fancy Nancy very seriously. She amazes me with her total confidence. I found out that some other girl was telling her she looked wierd, and my Lucy didn’t even care. It made me really proud (and want to thump the other kid, but hey.).

  41. 42

So cute, as always. And Mervyn’s!!! OMG! That place closed down about 15 years ago here in Miami. I still miss it. It was my favorite store until Target came to town. Always had great shoes and bags at awesome prices. Thanks for reminding me about it :-)

It’s Christmas break and I’m not motivated to get dressed. I just want to stay in my pajamas all day and snuggle with my two little guys :) See you in 2011 for WIWW.

  45. 46

    I miss Mervyn’s :(
