over our christmas break, we spent part of a day at balboa island
and i chose this house to be our “summer home”. and i’ll have a butler and a maid. and a chef.
we walked on the tiny rain-soaked beaches
and took the ferry over to the peninsula
and it’s not a trip to balboa if you don’t get a frozen banana
and ask to do really over-priced things
but we had blue skies and were taking full advantage of the rain taking a break for a day
look! they’re not even fighting! quick – get the camera!
love luuuuve this girl and her gappy teef
yummy chipotle mac ‘n cheese
oh, the freckles!
a quick stroll on the pier, which was short lived because they spotted…
the giant climbing thing! yes, this is really what beaches in southern california look like. one of the things i miss most.
when did she get so old? did i blink?
look out for the plane, lu!
oh no. why would you hold on to the ropes with 2 hands or at least have 2 feet firmly planted when you’re 30 feet (i may exaggerate a little) up in the sky? yes, lean out son. then jump up and down a little. thanks. now i really know you’re a boy.
this is what happens when you try to pose 3 kids for a charlie’s angels shot, and 2 of them don’t know how to make a gun with their fingers. deprived children.
typical kid shot: gracie looking adorable, lily trying to be fancy, and silas being… silas.
so i’ll just take a pic of your cute feet instead!
i love family days!
