blissdom swag & some {love} for you!

oh, the goodies i came home with!

if you follow me on twitter, you may know that blissdom hooked me up with a bag full of sponsor goodies, a manicure, 2 mini massages, all the chocolate i could eat, and tiny chocolate dipped ice cream cones all day!  my kind of week, i tell you!

but beyond all the blissful goodies, were the roomie and friendly pretties.  i happened to room with quite the crafty bunch, and we generally hung out with other creative women, many of whom like to give pretty gifts!

it was so good to meet up with the nester again! she was even so sweet to give me the option of necklaces – “fake gold or fake silver”!  love her!

oh, the alloralusciousness that covered blissdom!  i was gifted this beauty from my tiny roomie and she was so sweet to share all her rosettes with all of us for the week!  i felt like some a-lister that gets to borrow jewelry for big events (there was even pretend paparazzi there, i promise!).

this bracelet is a seamstresses dream!  tiny buttons. with scallops!  so. very. cute.  thanks for the love, lisa!

another roommate let me dig through a box of flowery goodness and this ended up on my finger!

when jeannett found herself rooming with the crafty crew, she gave in and borrowed some craftiness elsewhere and gave us all these fabulous coffee cozies – *love* the teeny tiny embroidery!

april also gave us this great little print!

i love pads of paper for doodles and to-do lists!  thank you to jeannett and (in)courage!

a year ago hillary and i talked about her starting a monogramming business, and by golly she did it!  great eye for colors!

ok, so this one wasn’t just for me, but still!  its so delicate and pretty!

and last but not least were the red velvet cake balls from ruthanne!  the girl knows the way to my heart!

there were so many other little goodies that i was given – thank you to you all!

*****

so here’s a quick recap:

– i loved my roommates: jeannett, april, mique & jess

– we had the “cool” room – each night it was packed with 10-15 friends, giggling at silly videos and pretend online shopping

– i discovered i like free massages and mani’s – who knew?

scott stratten is hi.lar.i.ous!  and so stinkin’ smart!

the nester and melissa know just what they are doing and we could all learn a lot from them!

laurie turk is just about the perkiest person!  so fun spending time with her again!

– i don’t like warm pb&j smashed into a bowl (you had to be there)

– i love me some ruffles!

– i was totally jealous that i wasn’t part of the flash mob at the end of the conference – well done ladies!

– i didn’t take enough pictures (only 25!)

– getting back to reality is really hard after a week of no responsibility and slumber parties every night

Thanks so much for sharing all of your Blissdom experiences with us! I have really enjoyed seeing all of your pictures. And man, did you score big or what? That some great loot you came home with!

  9. 9

Ha! I didn’t like that PB&J bread pudding either! I hope you were smarter than me and left room in your bag for all the goodies you got at Blissdom. Even though I knew better, I stuffed my bags on the way there and didn’t have room for all my fun gifts on the way home. (Don’t you worry, though – I fit my poppy pin in there!!) :)

I love the print from the funky vintage kitchen!

Oh we did have a fun week and the ‘cool’ room. Huh. I was always so giddy every time someone knocked on our door. More girl time, more giggles. It has been a tough week coming home to reality, with awesomeness swirling around in my head.

I keep putting off my post because 1) I know how long it will take too and 2) I know it will make me miss so much!

So glad we all have twitter!! Nice job Linds on th re-cap.

  12. 12

  16. 16

This such sounds like so much fun…A fun week of girl time, what could be better! Thanks for sharing all the pics, links, and pretties….loved seeing it all! I hope to attend next year!

  17. 17

Was that PB&J not the most bizarre thing you’ve ever tasted? I kept wanting to like it… but, no.
Looks like I need to room with your crew next time. ;)

  18. 18

Sounds like a great time!! Brandy @ Brandy Designs

  19. 19

Sounds like a great time and what cute stuff you got there! You’re shop is also adorable!

  20. 20

girl, it looks like you better make some more petal pushers! ;)

  21. 21

So many adorable people and things at Blissdom!!! Whoo hoo, it really was fun. And I have to completely agree, warm pb&J is what I find in the backseat of our car. Not something this mom wants for dessert. WHERE WAS THE CHOCOLATE CAKE or truffles or whatever, that is what this mom would have wanted. ;-)

Lovely to see you again and I’m totally going to be sporting my new scarf next time I see you!!!

  22. 22

Wow! That looks like so much fun! And what amazing, talented ladies you got to stay with! I’m off to click away at all the links now! :)

  23. 23

I totally agree about the PB&J dessert. Yuk! My roomies gave me lovely gifts too…Blissdom is so much fun that way!

  24. 24

I was jealous I wasn’t part of the flash mob too! But at least we got to witness it.

  25. 25

    Very fun recap.

I knew I should have waited a few days to order!

  26. 26

I agree, that PB&J was a disaster. I love seeing all of the crafters’ bloggy swag in one post. How cute!

  27. 27

Man, you hit the jack pot! I thought I made out well with my swag. It pales in comparison. :) I even missed out on the manicure and massages. What’s up with that? Oh well…I had a wonderful time and I totally agree about the smashed, warm, pbj. Not my thing, either. The never ending ice cream case more than compensated, though. Yummy.

  28. 28

Such blissful fun!! One day I hope to attend one of those fun conferences!! I still consider myself a baby blogger… so much to learn… only one year under my fingertips!! ;) I almost got a jar post up… but my sick little girl and I played instead… maybe next week?! I will still link you when I do! lol!!

  29. 29

If you like that art you would probably like this gal’s work. I just bought a necklace from her and I love it…..her work is very unique. I can’t wait to hear what you think!
