lovely print

i have a confession to make: i very rarely buy anything handmade.

but i think i have pretty good reasons: 1) i can usually make what i want, and 2) i’m really cheap

but a couple months ago i saw this print featured on meg’s blog, and i couldn’t stop thinking about it!

i could never make this and it was really affordable!

i was shocked at the high quality of the print – my whole family and i stared with our noses nearly touching the paper, looking at the visible brush strokes!

i still haven’t framed it yet, but was so excited to hang it that i used some poster putty to put it in our living room, on the way into the playroom, so i see it all the time.

but then i realized how much even more perfect it is here in the entryway!

but now i have another problem: i want more.  i actually think i need more!  the colors are perfect and the words are amazing and encouraging!

here are a couple others i’d love to have:

crazy pretty, right?

different artist, but i love these as well:

fun fun!

and today is the last day for my little sale!

I wanted to share little tidbit with you this morning in an effort to spread the word for this great cause. Our little town is putting on their 35th annual St. Jude auction this weekend and I wanted to give you the website if you are interested in seeing what we do for the children of st. jude every year. It’s You can shop and buy chances on raffles. Hope you don’t mind me plugging it on your comments. It’s a wonderful cause!

  12. 12

  17. 17

I’m usually not much of a commenter but I have to chime in and say ….. yes …. etsy prints are DANGEROUS. I have spent much time browsing through all the amazing colors, designs, and sayings. You can find ANYTHING on there. I’ve got that “be kind to others” print too.

  18. 18

I love that “The Glass is Half Full!” I’m cheap like that too, but that would be so fun to buy!

  19. 19

I bought my first ever item from your shop yesterday! Your little sale was just the incentive I needed to stop drooling and actually break out the credit card. Plus it’s my BFF’s birthday in a couple weeks, so I thought a zippered pouch would be the perfect gift! But I might keep it for myself. Decisions decisions. (I bought the grey dot and mustard ruffle one, which are my two fave colors of the season. Hmm, now I’m forgetting who I bought it for!) I love the prints you featured above… I may have to do a little more shopping today.

  20. 20

    Dear Lindsey,
I looked for you all over Blissdom, but only saw the evidence of you in all the poppys I saw on everyone. I was hoping to meet you, see if you would like to be on Madre Minutes sometime sharing your story and of course get a poppy. Such a clever idea.
I love your blog and shop and thanks for telling us about Katie my daughter would love these for her classroom and or nursery someday.
    Kindest regards,
