compassion international and handmade

do you guys know sarah markley?  of course you do!  i know sarah as kind of a friend of a friend, originally.  actually a friend of 3 of my friends!

1st i met sarah through lisa (at blissdom) – they were college roommates.

then i found out sarah was friends with my husband’s father’s cousin’s son’s wife (ha!  figure that one out – either way, we’re related!), kristen.

and she was even good friends with my sister-in-law, denise – she and her husband lead worship for an event at my hometown church and stayed with denise at my childhood home!  wait… why wasn’t i invited?…. i digress.

and she is a writer for (in)courage, which i used to make special items for.

when i first started reading sarah’s blog, i knew she was a committed runner.  i wanted to like her a little less for that (joking, sheesh!), but her writing drew me in.  she is a talented blogger, wife and mom, and now she is raising money for compassion international.

she asked me and a few other handmade artists to lend a hand to support her cause – she and her team are running a half marathon on june 5th and are using this as a platform to raise money and awareness for compassion.

i am helping out by donating 10% of my sales for 2 weeks of 4 of my most popular items: new ipad cases, ruffled scarves, sunnies cases, or tiny pouches!

if you are interested in supporting sarah and compassion international, head on over to my shop!  be sure to enter “COMPASSION” in the notes to seller.

happy shopping!
