how to tie a ruffled scarf {video}

yay!  it took me weeks, but i finally figured out this video thing!  i have had a handful of you ask, “i have a ruffled scarf, now how do i wear it?”  so here’s a little video of several ways i tie mine:

sorry about the shakiness!  i’m still in the learning phase of this whole vlogging thing, and lesson learned: use a tripod!

*****

i have a bunch of new ruffled scarves in my shop, just in time for you to learn to tie them.

6 new colors (above) were just added today to make 11 colors total (below) – wow!

i had a little fun playing with all those pretty colors!

these scarves are great for year round wear, even now in spring time weather – thin, light-weight jersey.  and when the breeze picks up just wrap up the scarf a little tighter!

a ruffled scarf pretties up the simplest of outfits – how great would a coral scarf be for easter sunday?

so do you wear your scarf any other ways?  do tell!

You’re so cute! I always enjoy seeing bloggers that I read regularly “in person.”

This was very helpful… mostly because I didn’t know you used elastic thread in the scarves. The stretchiness of it is really appealing. Thanks!

  2. 2

YEAH! I totally appreciated the comment back explaining how you tie your ruffled scarf. I’m not sure that I ever responded back to you. THIS is even better. A how to video makes it even easier to be cute like you. ;) So excited for all the new colors, too. Next stop- purchasing my first PP Ruffled Scarf…assuming they are not all sold out again.
    So many colors- tough decision…
    ;)

    again, very cute!!!

I love getting to see my favorite bloggers on video! It gives me a better idea of who they are and makes me feel like I know them IRL (still hoping that really happens on one of my CA trips!) I also love the idea of the 3 different petal pushers. It’s been a thought in my mind for a while that I just kept forgetting to share.

  45. 45

you are adorbs, lindsey!! i know this might sound weird, but i never thought your voice would sound that way. i mean, you read a blog and see pics of someone, but you never hear their voice, so i loved this vlog!! :)

  46. 46

I said petal pushers, I meant posy pins :)

Hello! I enjoyed this video tutorial, thanks for sharing. One way I like to wear my ruffled scarf is by looping it around my neck (like how you have it at the beginning of the video) then to get the two ends and do a single pull-through knot in the center. One of my ruffled scarves is lace and pretty long, so this helps to get rid of a little of that extra lace, and makes it a little fuller beneath my neck. It’s also a great way to give the appearance of a ruffled blouse, when worn under a businessy-looking jacket. Just the other day, a girl told me she liked me shirt, when it was really just my scarf worn under a jacket! :)
