my girl jeannett came up with this brilliant idea, and i’m jumping on the bandwagon!

i’m linking up my iphone pics from the week (and a couple from last week – sue me) that i posted on instagram.

don’t you love how instagram totally makes lame pictures look cool?!  me too.

this is how i work.  the machine on the right and the computer on the left, streaming anything from,, hulu, etc…  makes the time pass quickly into the wee hours of the night.

we’ve been slowly doing a lot of prep for gracie’s art party this weekend.  these strips were for the world’s longest paper chain.

so we got free tickets to see usher.  i only know a couple of his songs, but heard he’s a great performer – kinda michael jackson-esque.  WHY DIDN’T ANYONE WARN ME?!?!  we left shortly after we got there.  the lap dance he was given by the scantily clad woman he pulled from the crowd was much more than anyone should see.  especially the 4 year old girl in front of me.  disgust.

sean treated me to some new kicks as an early b-day presie!

silas is the best kid ever to sleep with.  he melts right into you.  heaven.

we all fell asleep for a few hours before my cousin’s wedding last weekend – just barely woke up in time!

my little geek squad, enjoying the 3-d trial glasses.  their amazement with the 3-d feature was heard store-wide.   my children are seen AND heard.

another detail for the art party.  it’ll be filled with flowers in a couple days.

i have lisa to thank for reminding me of my kids’ names when its been a really long day ;)

my husband rocks.  like rocks my socks.  the man has learned to make a mean latte for his non-coffee loving wife.

my parents just got into town for a quick stay. love that they put the kids to bed when they’re here.  remind me when i’m a grandparent to do the same for my kids, ok?  thanks.

balloons, balloons, and more balloons!  let’s get this party started already!

life rearranged

I started following from Gussy Sews and glad I did… love this instafriday post! I’ve not been able to get into the iphone (my husband is hooked) but after seeing your images and those of my friends’, I am seriously considering crossing over (from BB, that is)… if only for the fab pics from the instagram app, ha. Happy Friday!

  3. 3

    love it!

  4. 4

Yet another reason to make the switch from BB to iPhone! Love your photos & cannot wait to see the fabulous party details when it’s all said and done!

  5. 5

Nothing in me wants an iPhone simply because they are trendy. BUT all this instagramming makes me want one!

  6. 6

Thanks for this post! My little one’s 5th bday is tomorrow and it’s a rainbow party. I love the pencil container and the idea for hanging balloons. Those are both cool ideas!!!

    Tiffany Nelson says:

it’s always nice to visit with you (and now your iphone). yea, usher is no longer a kidd, sorry, raunchy. i have wanted an iphone for so long, i just may treat myself. i do deserve it.

  8. 8

I LOVE how instragram turns bad cammy pics into cute ones! I NEVER remember to bring my camera anywhere, so some of my kiddos sweetest moments are captured with my phone :)

  9. 9

Love. Thanks for sharing. Instagram is the greatest!

  10. 10

Um, when you tweeted that you were going to the Usher concert, I thought “Really?” I know I don’t know you that well, but you don’t seem like the kind of gal that would dig him haha! Sorry it was a flop and boo for lap dances in front of 4 year olds. Really?!? Have a great party!

  11. 11

what i wouldn’t do for an invite to your art party! it. looks. so. fun. :)

and i feel ya with the concert – LOVE usher too – but I’d probably be out of there! Saw Maroon 5 and was so disgusted w/ the people AROUND us, that i had to ask the ushers to reseat us away from our floor level seats – they put us in the wheelchair section, farther away, but creepies were GONE.

  12. 12

That’s going to be one awesome party! Love all your pics.

  13. 13

I love the little sneak peaks into your everyday life. Thanks!
Also can’t wait to see pics of the party. I’m just starting to plan my sons 2nd b-day, its so sad! )c:

  14. 14

ooo! do you have time to tell me really quickly how you attached those pencils to the vase? that would be perfect for my daughter’s rainbow party this weekend! (she’s a may 30th baby, like you!)

  15. 15

  23. 23

that picture of your husband with Silas…too sweet for words!!!
Lindsey, I came over here to visit you tonight because on for the love of blogs they have a fun post where you see where all your traffic to you blog is coming from and then you go thank them…well kiddo…YOU and The Pleated Poppy is where most of my traffic has come from…so weird, I join hops all the time but, the awesome people who link up on WIWW really rock! I truly from the bottom of my heart want to thank you. I am so happy to have found you and your lovely, lovely blog!

    happy weekend

  24. 24

I am cracking up about the Usher thing- as soon as I read that, i thought I read it wrong until you said you had to walk out- lol.
    Sorry that didn’t work out.
    But it is kinda funny.

  25. 25

Oh yes. When parents are here to put kids to bed = bliss.

Cute idea. I love instagram. Super fun way to document life.

  26. 26

I love your life. You and I would be friends in a different world :) I think Usher is talented but agree with what your saying. I really really REALLY dislike his Oh My _ _ _ song. Although, unlike you my husband and I disagree on two things… movies and songs our kids should and should not be exposed to. Long story. JEALOUS of that latte!

BTW, do you get Family Fun Magazine? Its a Christmas gift, and my favorite one, from my mother each year. TONS of neat ideas to do with the family and decorate. There was one a while back with a jar surrounded by crayons and just a large rubber band to hold them on. Reminded me of your super cute map pencils one! Remember when they were called map pencils? I may be dating myself, think I am a bit older than you but anyhoo! Just thought I would share.

    SUPER cool pics~

  27. 27

OH, BTW.. I LOVED your what I wish I was wearing post!! That is funny. I wish I had more time to post stuff like that. Are you familiar with Tulle? Super cute clothes, all vintage remakes or inspired. Kind of like Harolds used to be as far as a more modest style and price but their sales are great! They are somehow linked with Forever 21, another one of mine, and as I have seen yours too, favorites!

  28. 28

I am obsessed with Instagram!!! I love it!

  29. 29

Looks like you guys had a GREAT week (other then the concert~sorry, that just stinks)
Hope the party was a blast!!

  30. 30

    a) My littlest guy is that same kind of “melt into you” sleeper… the snuggliest kiddo evah.

    b) I love bracelets from Lisa. Lovelovelove them.

    c) Is that *really* Storytime With The Millers?? Oh my word. I lived off Miller books when I was little (and everything from that publisher, and another one similar). Those were also the days when I wore a headcovering. ;)
