what i wore wednesday

i am finding that it’s kind of difficult to get dressed these days.  we have swim lessons early in the mornings near the beach and its still pretty foggy and chilly.  so i start the day dressed really warm and cozy, but then its been beautiful and sunny by late morning, then hot in the afternoon!   so layers it is, or i just change when the weather changes – kinda annoying.

sweater – target

long sleeve – forever 21

dress – old navy

skinnies – target

flats – target

necklace – lisa leonard designs

petal pusher – the pleated poppy

i know i’m a couple years late on the style, but i love braiding my bangs back some days – so easy.

beach day!  it was sunny but breezy, so this ended up being the perfect outfit to lounge in.

sweater – forever 21

tank – old navy

jeans & hat – local shop

flops – rainbow sandals

yes, it was a hat week!

shirt – forever 21

same jeans and hat

converse – nordstrom rack

i was sporting one of my new patriotic posies on my hat.

i have a select few in the shop and will not be replenishing my supply.

how cute would these be for the 4th?!

your turn to link up!

Your Forever 21 gray sweater is great! Loving your patriotic posies. Hats are so cute on you-just wish I could pull them off like you do! Thanks as always for hosting.

  2. 2

You look cute as always! I love the striped tank. I am having similar problems dressing for the weather. One day I changed my clothes three times! Thank you for hosting!

  3. 3

Love the patriotic posies and all the outfits!! The layers look great!

The weather here (utah) has been crazy. Its still cold and raining half the week then the other half sunny and hot.

    Thanks for hosting!!

  4. 4

  7. 7

found your blog via My Girlish Whims and the linkup! :-) i love the outfits!!!!! especially the grey sweater from forever21. :-)

  8. 8

Outfits are super cute (as always!) I’m always impressed by the Target finds. I’m loving their embellished tees and cardigans right now. And STILL I find myself needing to check out Forever 21. Seriously, what’s my problem? Just drive there already! :)

  9. 9

LOVE all your super cute outfits! :)

  10. 10

Really love the coral sweater. I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned this, but if not for your WIWW challenge, I would never have thought to check out clothes at Target. You have saved me tons of moola and I’ve purchased some awesome items.

Oh, and I {heart} the patriotic posies. Too cute.

  11. 11

i love the color of that coral sweater you are wearing in the first picture. (and the ruffles are really great too)

  12. 12

i am jealous of your layers! its blazing hott in georgia… i think its supposed to be 101 degrees today with bad humidity!

and i love your looks this week- i really like the baseball t outfit!

  13. 13

Love your outfits. As usual. And, yep, I braid my bangs too. It’s such a cute way to deal with the summer heat.

  14. 14

Not linking up, but had to say thanks for putting up a pic of your patriotic posies. I just bought a set, and now I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed that they get here in time for the 4th!

  15. 15

You are adorable as always. :)

  16. 16

Linds, I LOVE that last photo of you. SO CUTE! i hope your week is going well!!! xoxo

  17. 17

You are such a cutie! Thanks for the link-up!

  18. 18

cute, as always! i see some new art on your wall in the last pic…looks great!

  19. 19

I think the previous comment is exactly what I was thinking! Cute clothes and loving the wall o’ art going on there…

  20. 20

Cute F21 top! I like your bangs braided.
At least you are getting to layer, in TX it’s been 100 degrees so shorts and tank tops are the only outfits of choice for me. I won’t get to wear layers until September :)

  21. 21

Love the mustard yellow touches in the first outfit & the bloom on your hat in the last outfit! I can’t pull off hats very well, but maybe if I found one in that style…just maybe. Ha!

  22. 22

Lindsey, thanks again for hosting! I have put much more thought into what I wear recently. Thanks for the inspiration!

  23. 23

Love the coral and mustard yellow combo in the first outfit – too cute! And I just tried the french braid with my bangs last week also…love it! Thanks for hosting!

  24. 24

    Happy Hump Day!!
Love the LA tee from F21.. so cute!!

  25. 25

You are a cutie tootie! You inspire me to get out of my stretchy pants! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, and my husband thanks you!

  26. 26

I love your outfits! You are really the one that inspired to me to start wearing dresses over my jeans…. and I love how it has given me a modest, feminine option to my tighter jeans.

  27. 27

Love, love, LOVE the grey sweater outfit!! And the outfit with the grey dress and orange sweater. You make such cute outfits.

And I can see how easy they are to layer and unlayer. Here it’s beastly hot practically from the time you get up until the sun goes down. I layer for the buddha belly (and other vanity issues) but sometimes take off the short-sleeved cardigan in the car and hope the other drivers look at the road & not my arms!

  28. 28

Your beach day outfit is super cute! Love it! Thanks for hosting :)

  29. 29

I love how colorful your pictures are. YAY for tripods!:)

  30. 30

I love the sweater!! I just found your meme and I love it!! I’ll try to catch up next Wednesday!!

  31. 31

Love the layers–it’s officially summer here in NYC. No layers needed–only on the super chilly subway. Have a great week.

  32. 32

I love the little touch of yellow!

  33. 33

I LOVE these posts. So inspiring each week!

  34. 34

you’ve got to show us a full picture of all the fun things you added to your wall! thanks for all the cute clothes ideas – i’m always inspired to go rummage through forever 21 every wednesday :)

  35. 35

You’ve done a GREAT job! The braid looks great! The pigtails are so cute! and I LOVE the americana poppy!

  36. 36

They are all super cute. I especially love the bright colors on the first outfit and the flower makes the outfit. Well done!

  37. 37

I really like your artwork behind your last two outfit pictures! I know you’ve talked about the art from “The Wheatfield,” but where did the other piece come from? I have been dying to paint a canvas like that!

  38. 38

Love the patriotic posies!! And I also love the braid. I have not braved one yet. I can do a mean braid on anyone, but not a very pretty one on myself.

  39. 39

So cute! I WISH is was cool enough to wear long sleeves here but it’s been in the triple digits in TX for weeks now. And I love the idea of a pin on a hat. Never thought to do that.. brilliant!!

  40. 40

Your Converse outfit is too cute. Makes me ready for the 4th of July!! :)

  41. 41

That first outfit is adorable. Love the photo with your son.
I can totally relate to now wanting to dress up to early swim lessons at the beach. That is great that you are taking them swim lessons at the beach. We do swim lessons at a pool that is nicely heated and the kids go in a shock when they face the cold ocean water and forget everything they have learned.

  42. 42

Loving the braided bangs! thanks for the blog, I love reading it!

  43. 43

I know what you mean about having to chance with the weather all the time! The little braid in your hair is really cute :)
