{aka longest iphone pic post ever}

i was suo bummed my computer was a putz last friday and i couldn’t post for instafriday last week.

but lucky you!  i’m doubling up this week – hehe!  most of the pics are from our road trip.  now, this may be a bit like when you have to sit through someone’s slideshow about their trip just because you asked, “so, how was your trip?”.  but don’t worry – the real pictures from our trip are coming later and there are sooo many more.  see?  you really are lucky!

big bag o’candy – a must for any road trip

1st stop – vegas.  don’t even get me started about how much i do not like this place.  more to come…

we introduced our kids to the wonders of the buffet.  and a child to remain nameles pooped on the floor.  we’re klassy.

our view for a long time.  then i fell asleep for a long time, because sean is awesome like that and lets me sleep as much as i want while he drives.

our view for the week in wyoming

the sky looked like this every day. no joke.  except for the 4th when it rained.

si and his cousin fishing naked

a HUGE icelandic poppy in jackson hole.  i’m not exaggerating, this thing was like 8 inches wide!  ok, i may be exaggerating but i don’t think i am!

i got  a little work done for bloom belts while i was gone.   and you guys bought all 14 of them yesterday – you rock!  now it will just take me another couple months before i can finish another batch…

oh the sunsets!  at 10 pm.  yeah, our sleep schedules were a little thrown off with the sun rising at 4:30 am, too.

the same thing 10 billion other instagram users took pics of – fireworks.  but ours were super awesome, even better than yours,  i promise.

the best note parents could ever get from their 5 year old

old faithful did her thing twice for us while we were in yellowstone

we saw lots of tutanka

too many hours in the car make you do silly things

back home, we enjoyed free slurpees on 7-11.  get it?  7-11?!

lily came home from vbs with this.  what are they teaching my kids?!  how to completely rock?!

this is the present state of my house.  and i’m having a boutique here tonight and tomorrow.  (hey if you’re local, wanna come?)  i have my work cut out for me today. (understatement of the year)

and to add to the chaos de mi vida, i’m also helping throw a shower for a sweet friend (vintage picnic theme).  i went a little overboard shopping my house this time, but i didn’t buy a single thing and that rocks!  can’t wait to set it up and take pics!

i’m linking up again with the ever-awesome jeannett!

Wow, I absolutely love these photos, and now I’m dying to take a road trip like this! We were planning something tropical for our 10 yr anniversary, which is coming up, but now I think I might suggest Wyoming! Cannot wait to see the real deal photos. Oh, and the vintage picnic shower too of course! TGIF!

there is no chocolate in your bag o’ candy… or was there before you to this pic.?

    pooped on the floor!! speechless.

i CANNOT sleep when your bro is driving. someone HAS to keep him awake.

sweet note from lily. her writing and sentence structure are very good.

you sure say “rocks” a lot. “that rocks” is so 2008.

btw- i totally rocked 7/11 day!
    i’m just say’n.

Your road trip looks fantastic! I tried to nab one of those bloom belts (had my heart set on yellow and gray) but I missed the rush! Good luck with the cleaning and the shower, I can’t wait to see pics.
    insta-friday rocks so fun!

Love your stash! Looks like you had a blast!

  8. 8

Hi! I’m stopping by from the InstaFriday link up. Looks like you guys had a fun trip! We did the free slurpees on 7-11 too…fun!

when my house (lovingly) looks that way due to my (loving) children I call it ‘jenky.” your kitchen is just some kinda jenky and that sounds all cool so you’re good to go for your boutique–no worries. HA! and that bag of candy for the trip is well-rounded–we just do a ton of starbursts and then I can’t look at that candy for months and months.
    <3 happy (insta) friday!

  10. 10

I love these instafriday posts that keep popping up. I love how many little moments that I can capture without lugging my camera around.

  11. 11

  12. 12

well no one likes Vegas when they stay at the Flamingo!

  13. 13

love your website, and this post. :-) happy instagram friday. :-)

  14. 14

    I don’t like Vegas either.

But I like it a little more because one of your kids pooped at the buffet. :)

  15. 15

    FUN stuff! :)

  16. 16

Hey! First time here! Clicked over from your post about delivering cookies and other goodies to the homeless. After reading it, I felt really encouraged. I so hate Vegas, too. Every time I go there I feel dirty, blah!

  17. 17

Visiting via Life Rearranged…love the photos! Especially the “present state of your home” pic, that’s pretty much mine looks like…I can never keep up! ;)

  18. 18

I just found your website (I’m a late comer, apparently!) and I love it! Your pictures are awesome!

  19. 19

I love that note. I found a similar one that my almost 30 year old daughter wrote years ago. I plan to frame it.

  20. 20

That looks like a fab road trip. I hate Vegas too. It’s so dirty. Ick. We’re taking off tomorrow for our own 850 mile road trip. Wish me luck! I’m doing it sans hubby.

  21. 21

Looks like a fun trip. I am having a hard time taking photos with my regular camera because Instagram is so fun!

  22. 22

Stopping by from InstaFridays! I’ve been following your blog for a while now. Love it!

When my oldest was about 2 1/2, I thought he was ready for potty training. We were at a kids’ resale shop, getting ready to go to a birthday party, when he did his doodies in training pants. I started walking him to the restroom in the back of the store, and things were falling out of the training pants! It was like Hansel and Gretel leaving a trail, except these weren’t breadcrumbs! Ah, good memories. So glad you can make some happy memories too!
