our summer list

thanks so much to meg for inspiring me to do this with my kids!

at the beginning of summer, the kids and i made a long list of things we wanted to do over the summer.  the best part about this list is that it is totally motivating me to get out with the kids and be a fun mom!

we have marked a few more things off our list while we were on our road trip.  we’re probably about halfway done!

do you have a summer list?  what are you most excited about doing this summer?

  1. 1

Possibly the cutest thing I’ve ever seen!

  2. 2

we just went to the avila barn yesterday! it was so fun. i love it there.

  3. 3

I have yet to make a Summer list…. I keep telling myself im going to but always forget. Maybe i’ll make a ‘Half-July and August’ list :)

  4. 4

We have been working on ours and have made a lot of progress. It really does help motivate me to be a better mom and do things with my girls!

  5. 5

Ooooh! A summer bucket list! What a fantastic idea!

  6. 6

I love your list, I have never really thought of making one but it seems like such fun!

  7. 7

I love the pick berries idea.. Ugh I should have added that to ours! :) For your icee one you could do slurpees since it’s free slurpee day :) I think that’s what our “fun” thing will be today.. I’m all for free things. haha..

Here’s our list. http://www.fingerprintsonthefridge.com/2011/06/summer-to-do-list.html totally inspired by Meg too.

Glad your computer is working again!

What a great list! We’ve been able to knock out quite a few things on our summer list, too. I can’t believe summer is already almost halfway over!

  9. 9

Just saw #3…let’s plan a time to see you. Soooo cute! Wyoming sounded amazing! I loved looking at all of courtney’s pics. Xoxo

  10. 10

I made this Summer list for our family and we are not rocjking quite as well as you are!! Great job!

  11. 11

We totally have a Summer Bucket List! We try to cross off one thing per day. Some things are small, like checking out books from the library or getting Cherry Limeades from Sonic, and some things are big, like going to the zoo or painting pottery. We’re six weeks in, and our list is shrinking by the day! I post our adventures weekly on Fridays. Stop by to check it out! kaileykate.blogspot.com!

  12. 12

This is a great idea! I’m totally going to do this for some motivation and to keep somewhat of a schedule when my husband is off work! Sometimes you just need some structure…. especially with kiddos! (We have an 18 month old and another on the way!)

  13. 13

What a sweet list! Looks like you guys have done well so far with marking items off! I couldn’t help but notice the “rodeo” one! I about yelled out “Hey! I went to a rodeo this summer!!” (It was my first ever :)

  14. 14

The girls and I just finished Secret Garden…a great read for summer vacation! We’re now on to Little House on the Prairie. We have a lot of the same “to do’s” that you guys do. The girls also put on their list washing the car with dad, and building a blanket fort outside among other fun things. Looks like a GREAT summer ahead for you guys. Have fun!

  15. 15

We did one too and it’s been fun. My kids love crossing off as we go, and looking forward to what’s left. I think we may not get it all done, but there’s always fall break.
