what i wore wednesday

hey friends!

thanks for joining me for another week of “what i wore wednesday”!  between traveling, unpacking, repacking, making last minute products for the queen bee market, driving for hours and hours (boo on traffic), and sleeping not nearly enough, i only have one measly outfit for you this week.  and its a repeat.  oh well!

i took this pic in the reflection of a mirror in jess’ pretty booth.

sweater – target

ruffled tank – old navy

skirt – forever 21

flats – target

petal pusher – the pleated poppy

necklace – allora handmade

so, i was thinking about trying something new.  i still love having wiww for the accountability to still put effort into getting dressed, but to be honest, i’m doing really good and this habit has definitely stuck.  whether i take pictures or not, i am really getting dressed everyday!  and i think this may be the case for many of us, so let’s take it one step further, ok?

for those of you who want to add a challenge to your week, join me!  awhile back i really pushed myself out of my comfort zone and mixed floral and stripes.  i want to try this again, mixing patterns that are usually a no-no, and step out of my comfort zone.

wanna link up with me this week?

WOW! You are up and going early. I mixed stripes and pattern last week and never photographed. This is a great idea! We ALL need to be stretched out of our comfort zones! PS Jealous of your sweater weather. The desert is HOT, HOT, HOT.

  2. 2

Whoa, you posted early. So, so cute as always.

Love, love the Jess mirror outfit.

  3. 3

Love this idea! I’m still a bit behind with the trends and got my first (well first since my college days) maxi dress. I’m going to wear it to work tomorrow so that will be my challenge for the week. It is much brighter than my typical work wear so I’m a bit nervous to wear it. This is a good extra encouragement!

  4. 4

Oh! And I just bought my first belt …it is almost just like the one you are wearing with your cardigan! :)

  5. 5

I need to mix things up for sure! I am super committed to my neutrals – mostly gray and I try to avoid them when I am out shopping, but they just draw me in! I will try to step out of that and link up in the next week or two – I’ve take a couple photos for wiww, but I’ve never braved joining in the fun!

  6. 6

It’s Tuesday silly! I don’t have any pattern mixes with this weeks outfits, but I will give it a shot next week? Maybe? I am not very good at mixing, but you do it well!

  7. 7

I must have sensed this was coming or something (totally didn’t, but it sounds good) because I did mix stripes & floral this week and it’s normally totally not my think. I love every look you try, you always pull them off! We’ll see if I can continue to step out of my comfort zone!

  8. 8

Quick! It’s time to celebrate or at least make a wish! You have exactly 4444 followers! Cool!

  9. 9

Hilarious! I mixed stripes and floral this week, too! I guess there’s several of us. :) You’re adorable, Lindsey!

  10. 10

I love the idea of mixing stripes and floral in furniture, but have never tried it in clothes. what a fun idea and your outfits look adorable! Thanks for hosting!

  11. 11

You are right on trend with this month’s Everybody, Every wear posts! Mixed prints! You look so great in stripes! I am envious :)

  12. 12

Hi thanks for the hosting, great outfits i have a red flowered top similar to yours think i will look for it now, great mirror love your skirt :)

  13. 13

i LOVE both of your outfits this week!!! SOOOOO cute!

  14. 14

WIWW has helped me get out of my comfort zone so much. I’ve worn things that I would have never had the confidence to wear if I hadn’t seen other ladies wearing it on WIWW. Thanks for the inspiration and for hosting the fun!

  15. 15

My favorite part of WIWW is trying something that I was once terrified of (think button downs tucked in or yellow). So many of my clothes were worn one way only and that was boring. Now it’s an adventure and I love mixing and matching.

  16. 16

I love how you mixed the floral and stripes! It has inspired me to try something similar!!

  17. 17

Looks like you and I were both thinking stripes this week!! Love your skirt and cardigan, so great!!

  18. 18

I LOVE the idea of a challenge. I sometimes feel like I wear the same old things every week (especially since my pregnant belly limits my wardrobe). A challenge to get me to mix things up would definitely get me out of my rut :)

  19. 19

    Yay for WIWW!

  20. 20

I love your mix-it-up! I am a fan of this always (as you can tell from my wiww this week!) :)

Missed seeing y’all last week, hope it was really grand. <3

  21. 21

I would have never thought to mix floral and stripes, but it really works. I love your color combinations. So cute!

  22. 22

You totally pulled off the floral & stripes! :) It’s fun taking fashion risks. Thanks again for another WIWW!

  23. 23

You look SO stinkin’ cute today! I love that outfit! Stripes are SO in! I love doing your WIWW, girl! Thanks for having this for us to do!!

  24. 24

Lindsey it was such a pleasure meeting you at the Queen Bee Saturday! Thanks again for hosting your very inspiring What I Wore Wednesday!

I have a lovely photo of your lampshade on my WIWW post today, your shade is so charming!

  25. 25

ok – you can pull this off (you could probably wear a potato sack with a posie and look adorable) I however would look so frumpy and like I got dressed in the dark!! This coming from you SIL who loves you and is a bit envious……………

  26. 26

I love this idea, Lindsey! I’ll have to give some thought to how I can push the boundaries a bit, myself. I love what you did!!

  27. 27

It just so happened that the sundress I wore has FLOWERS AND STRIPES :) It’s a great combo, and I’m going to see what I have in my closet to start combining the two more and more.

You look so cute in these two outfits! Love the mirror. I need one of those in every room in the house..

    Have a great Wednesday!

  28. 28

I am way more daring dressing my 3yo than I am with my own clothes. I need to be brave. Both of your outfits are fabulous.

  29. 29

Love the idea of mixing patterns. I’m gonna have to give that I try for next week’s WIWW.

  30. 30

I smiled when I saw your picture of mixing prints. I did that this week too in a similar way. I started linking up to get myself to step out of my fashion comfort zone. Because, yes I get dressed everyday, it was feeling like a uniform of jeans, a shirt, and cardigan. Here’s to stepping out! ;)

  31. 31

do i have patterns to mix??

can i just mismatch my socks like josie?

    cute outfits once again!

  32. 32

here I am back in the 30s for the comments… :) I don’t know if I have to WEAR-with-all (haha) to pull off pattern mixes…even though I think you so stinkin’ cute when you do it!

I shall try though! Just for you, Linds.

  33. 33

I love stripes, so your skirt and cardigan make me happy! And i love mixing patterns…when other people do it. I still have to figure out how to make it work for myself without looking like i don’t know how to dress myself!

  34. 34

I am loving this blog and wondering why on earth I just found it tonight! :) Fun link party, I was glad to share my cute little black dress I found! I am a new and excited to follow your blog. Please check mine out at http://www.hotmomshelpfultips.blogspot.com
