life rearranged

 linking up with jeannett again!

last friday night, sean and i volunteered for a fundraiser, and we had/got to dress up!

working on a really fun quilt with my friend joy.

brownie cake for lily’s birthday – just made with a few boxes of brownies, each in a round cake pan, frost between the layers & on top.  easy peasy.  best cake ever.  serve with ice cream!

up at my parents’ house for my paternal grandma’s 90th birthday – my whole family is here, minus my brother and his family!

this is the coziest house in the world, but my evy’s tree wrap makes it even cozier.

a very VERY long homeschooling day lead me to doodling to entertain myself.  and keep me from screaming.

lucky boy got spoiled by nana, getting to lick the mixer.

not so lucky boy got his first filling.

i had to document his half numb smile – still adorable!

go link up your phone pics with jeannett!

happy weekend!

I love the mask on you! And I love that quilt for Joy.

I bet that filling was for a baby tooth?!?! Shocked that we’re trying to stop cavities by filling baby teeth but I’m not a dentist so I’ll stop now.

  3. 3

    Love the doodles. : )

The numb smile is adorable!!! and hmmmmm…..maybe I should try “doodling!!” instead of screaming!! jk!!! Homeschooling has its challenges for sure!!

    Happy Friday

Im sure you;ve seen the video on YouTube of the little boy coming out of the dentist in his parents’ backseat, right? Hes still hopped up on meds and the poor thing is hilarious. “IS THIS REAL LIFE?!!!!!!”
Sweet pictures. And you totally rocked that mask. Not everyone can do that:)

also, I just HAD to say, that cake looks amazing!
I will have to try it……

What a sweet little (numb) smile he has. Can NOT wait to see the finished quilt, looks gorgeous so far. Oh and LOVING the yellow kitchen aid mixer.

  9. 9

LOVE that mask…. and the little doodle ballet dancers are pretty cute too!

    Love the quilt! Cute stuff-

    Oh that mask…peacock feathers+purple=love! I might just have to create a knock-off.

Love the brownie cake. One of my favorite desserts. My oldest son doesn’t like frosting, so we did just plain brownies for his birthday party this year. They were a hit!

Love the doodle drawings. Sorry things didn’t go so smoothly for you that day, believe me I have been there!! I never thought we would homeschool and here we are 5 years later, still homeschooling. I started out with traditional/structured homeschooling, but it got BORING for both my son and I. Which led us down another path called unschooling. When I first read about unschooling, I thought are you kidding me, that is crazy, and again I said, never ever ever. Ha, ha, God sure had different plans for us. I look at things a lot different. And we enjoy life so much more. :)

I would love more specifics on how to make the brownie cake. Did you use 1 brownie mix per round pan? I’m dying to try it!

i would also like to know more about the brownie cake. my little one is having her 6th birthday in a few weeks and i’m looking for ideas. she likes chocolate like her mama, so i’m thinking this might be a good idea. :) did you use canned frosting?
