instafriday

life rearranged
linking up my instagram pics from my phone again with jeannett!

the boy loves to rearrange my pins – clearly i was distracting him from something else.  probably from bugging his sisters.

come friday nights i have a hard time gearing up to make dinner.  ok, any night i have a hard time.  but we decided to head out for teppan and it did not disappoint!

i listed a bunch of petal drop necklaces this week – love these!

why is it that the crafting bug hits when i’ve already done almost all of my christmas shopping?!  maybe its because things are finally slowing down around here…

ah, my last latte.  this was on sunday and we started the south beach diet on monday.

this is the card gracie drew for our gift day.

delivering gifts.

my first shopping adventure with the new diet plan.  the fruit is for the kids, the rest is for all of us.

thank you crystal b for these beauties!

we’re getting creative with homeschooling – playing polly pocket store to learn how to give change.

silas snuggled up on sean’s lap and conked out.

silas and i went “ice skating” at his class party.  then i bounced between each of the girls’ parties, then back to si’s and back again… thankfully all their classes are in the same hallway!

my house was chilly, hence the puffy vest and hot coffee.

gracie never ceases to amaze me.  she can look at anything and draw it perfectly.  she’s 8.  crazy.

and then she decided to make faux taxidermy reindeer.  we all have one on our bedroom doors now.  and i love them!

thankful for the girls crafting the day away and being pretty much oblivious, i was able to make each of them a skirt to gift for christmas.  there’s nothing like a twirly skirt to keep a little girl a little girl.

how was your week?  link up your pics with jeannett, too!

I love that first one of Silas!!! Your family is beautiful! We are sitting next to each other on Instafriday and I found myself wishing we were really sitting next to each other today. I would be playing Polly pockets with the girls since I have not one ounce of creative juice in my system!!

And I must not be paying attention well because I missed how long your hair has gotten but I LOVE it!!!!!

    Have a super weekend.

good luck on your diet! i’ve been trying to eat healthier too and notice a big change in my moods and energy levels. (for the better) I often make and drink this drink: http://fifteenevergreen.blogspot.com/2011/12/yummy-power-juice-swamp-tastes-good.html

it looks pretty bad, but it tastes really good!

Good luck on SB! I did it years ago and it changed my life! I’ve gotten a little lax over the past year or so and so I’m hoping right back on Phase 1 after New Years. Just this week I posted a list of foods I eat on Phase 1. If you need some ideas you can check it out here: http://chocolatemoments.wordpress.com/2011/12/13/south-beach-phase-1-food-plan-works-for-me-wednesday/

Love that mug! Very cute. :)

OH how I love your blog! I love that your girls are sewing and crafting at a young age. My mom was so good at all that stuff but she didn’t really share her talents with me by teaching me. I am trying to learn as an adult (with three kids.. 8 yr old, 6 yr old and an 11 month old) and want to teach my daughter. Thank you for being an encouragement to me. Even on my roughest days…your blog makes me happy. Thank you.

Pretty pictured, I love the Polly pocket learning, so smart because I bet they were really into it. And I love the deer heads on the door, so cute! Your daughter is talented, my sister is like. She can draw anything that she sees, but can’t draw something that she’s made up. It’s a very unique skill I think.

So, at dinner, did anybody catch the thrown shrimp in their mouth?

  14. 14

Wow! Your daughter is very talented– you’ve got a blooming artist on your hands! How adorable :) You can get lots of free artwork to decorate your home ;)

  15. 15

What a cute family! Your daughter’s talent is amazing! Love the door decor, how smart is that?

  16. 16

just had to say that your daughter is seriously amazing! what artistic talent–unbelievable.

  17. 17

Ew, South Beach is a tough one but you can get great results if you stick to it. We found exercise was essential for good results and sugar free pudding with a little Cool Whip saved us when we had to have some dessert. Good luck!

  18. 18

Holy wow! Gracie is seriously AMAZING with her mad drawing skillz!!!!!
And you are totally brave for starting SB before the holidays!! I figure I’ll do a cleanse post-holiday. After I help ‘clean up’ all the sugar ’round these parts…

  19. 19

Wow! Gracie has got some serious skills. My 8 yr old can NOT draw like that.. and I thought she was good. haha. Good luck on the SBD! All of that fruit looks delish!

  20. 20

Good luck with south beach the first two weeks are rough but you will feel great from there! I need to do it again!

  21. 21

I can’t wait to see how the girls’ skirts turn out!

  22. 22

I love your photos, Lindsey! I have a question, though. How do you make a twirly skirt? I have a 3 year old niece who l-o-v-e-s to twirl (she just came to see me at work the other day to show me her newest twirly dress and we had an impropmtu twirling party right in the library at school… F-U-N!!!!!).

Keep up the great blogging – I enjoy it every day! :o)
