right now

stole this idea from meg and a bunch of other bloggers around the internets:

right now i am…

watching:  glee.  is it just me, or this season bad?  i am really not too much of a critic when it comes to any sort of entertainment (tv/movie-wise), but this season is just sort-of off, very different from the past ones.  are you with me?

eating:  just finished a small bowl of pb cup ice cream, sweetly dropped off from our local cold stone creamery owner – lucky me!

drinking:  not enough water.  too much coffee.

wearing: 2 long sleeved shirts, pj bottoms, long socks, uggs, and my big fluffy white robe – my house is freezing right now!

avoiding:  pretty much all things work related.  i almost didn’t blog, but here i am.  trying to fabric shop but having a hard time making decisions.

feeling:  tired and grumpy.  its only 9:42, but it feels so much later!  kind of dreading tomorrow starting since my oldest didn’t feel well going to sleep tonight and i’m fearing a whiny sick day tomorrow.

missing:  my husband.  working late tonight.  boo.

thankful:  for a successful stitch market (pics coming soon) and for a very supportive husband who literally had to move the family out of the house this time (it was big).

weather:  probably below 40* right now, but daytime highs are at about 70*.   so hard to get dressed for cold then warm weather!

praying:  for jilly

needing:  a break from my kids’ bickering.  i put them to bed tonight an hour early and so far that has helped – they haven’t argued once in their sleep!

thinking: a lot about a missions trip sean and i are going on in february to india.  more details to come…

loving:  hazelnut lattes.  sean making breakfast for the kids almost every morning.  wonderful neighbors who make up for lousy ones.  living in a small town where you always know someone everywhere you go.  the school my kids are a part of.  a big fluffy robe.  shopping alone at target.  checking things off the christmas list.  anticipating snow at my parnets’ house this christmas.  sweet comments and emails from readers.  morning hugs from dear friends.

and you?  what are you up to?

I love these posts! I never drink enough water! THat’s awesome you’re going to do missions in India! Is it through anyone?!

I agree with you about Glee. I watched that show since season 1. I used to even let my toddler watch it with me since he enjoyed singing and dancing. But this season, I had to watch the episodes online by myself. Just too many PG-13 stuff going on. A friend stopped watching it altogether because of some moral issues presented on the show. I still watch it just to hear what songs they sing but don’t care much about the story anymore.

Oh wow I didnt know about your India trip. We’re heading to Central America this summer(Eric and I) to teach in Bible Schools and share in churches. Its going to be an intense week of travel. Ive got mixed feelings about going- knowing this is what we’re called to but I dont want to leave my girls behind for a week. Changes, changes.
I cant wait to hear about the Stitch market. Sounds like it was a huge success.
Hope today is better for you. Grumpy nights are never fun are they?

Taking it one day at a time.

I agree… Taking it one day at a time. I have a 4 and 2 year old adjusting to sharing a bedroom. EEEK! Pregnant with our third and due in April. I am at the 23 week lull. Too early to start things but feels like not enough time to get everything ready. Hopefully winter won’t last too long. Loving every moment of our family time together however, it seems like it is not enough these days. Looking forward to a great Christmas and hopefully a lot of snow. AND of course, not drinking enough water… I look forward to hearing about your mission trip to India.

I loved this post, so much fun, thank you for sharing! Hoping you have a whiny-less, sick-free and lovely day!

Totally agree with you about Glee. I can barely stand to watch it. The only reason I keep on is because I love the music, but usually I find myself forwarding through the blah parts just to get to the next song.

I agree about Glee this season. Been very disappointed. I am not liking the love interest thing with a student and teacher. ICK! Hope no one is sick today!
    Hugs,

    Hi Lindsay!

Every morning now I add hot chocolate to my cuppa coffee and guess who I think of? YOU! It is DELISH!!! My daughter comes home from SLO next week ~~we cannot wait to see her and cannot believe she has already completed her first semester! We did not know about the weather (sooo cold at night, but nice during the day)!!! She (Jerra) swims and is always freezing, so the your big FLUFFY robe is on her Christmas wish list!
I hope just one of the times I can make it to one of your boutiques!!! Told my hub that I should try and just plan around your next date~~which brings me to~~~Do you know when that will be~~~Spring perhaps?
Thanks for all your positive, enlightening, REAL messages. Your blog is the first I read every morning, and it starts my day out with a smile on my face. Know that YOU do make a difference!!

Have a beautiful BLESSED Merry Christmas with your familia ♥

Totally agree about Glee! I think it’s because the characters are all very negative this season. And they feel sort of stagnant to me. Neat post- I’m going to copy you because I have no post for today either!

Spending a beautiful day with my 12 year old daughter who had off for the Catholic Holiday and having her tell me I’m her best friend, she is mine too, so blessed.

Glee is disgusting this season, I’m so with you on that one.

  18. 18

Agree-Glee is painful to watch this year! I thought it was just me. Even the songs are not good! Whew-glad to get that off my chest. Merry Christmas!

I enjoyed reading this. I would love to go to India. Our church goes pretty regularly. Looking forward to hearing your details. Also can’t wait to see pics and hear about your stitch market. I used to be crafty and do markets and shows, but have been out of it for about 6 years after my 2nd babe was born. Been feeling the creative call again..your blog is very inspiring. :)

  20. 20

that is such a clever idea…mind if i join in?

  21. 21

I’m new to this whole blog thing. I’ve actually never read a blog, until now. I was at a corporate function with my hubby and a friend of a friend told me about your blog. She was so inspired by it. I’ve only read for the last few days but I’m appreciating hearing about other moms lives. I home school 3 of my 4 high school kids, run an interior design business, and do the millions of other “normal mom things”. So it was good to see that I am not alone!!

Fun post…love the idea! I see why you snagged it :0) Mind if I snag it too???
