linking up my weekly cell phone pics with jeannett again! apparently, this week is the food edition. since hating my first couple weeks of the south beach diet, i figured something had to change. i was spending hours in the kitchen making food according to the cookbook that ended up kinda blah. then i started using pinterest for recipes and it has been awesome ever since! i also bought another south beach diet cookbook that has had some great recipes. i am still spending at least an hour and a half making dinner each night – maybe i’ll get faster? and doing a couple sinkfulls (yep, sinkfulls is a word) of dishes every day.

considering that the most recent picture i had on my shelves was when silas was 6 months old, it was time for an update. after this photo shoot months ago, i finally got a few pics printed and added them to the mix. hopefully i’ll have more printed soon!

so yes, i’m on this healthy eating kick, but in the south beach book there is a recipe for pistachio bark – semisweet chocolate, melted, with pistachios mixed in, spread on a baking sheet, frozen, then broken into chunks. so good. soooo good! i had a breaking point and had to lick the bowl. and the spoon.
