what i wore wednesday

what up, yo?

just joking… sean and i tend to joke around like we are the whitest ganstas on the block.  names like “dawg” and “homey” get used around here too often.  so often that they have become terms of endearment.  even with the kids.  and if we’re not in the cheney gang, we’re surfers – “sup bra?”  the kids are going to be so embarrassed of us when they get older!

okaaaay, where was i?  apparently it is better to write these posts earlier in the day than late at night with no one to tell me not to post that!

what i wore wednesday, yes, thats where we are… just to air out some quick confusion:  “what i wore wednesday”  does not literally mean what i wore on wednesdays.  it means today is wednesday and on wednesdays i show you what i wore the previous week.  and i like the alliteration.  i have had  handful of people confused by this, so i felt like today was the day for clarity.  you’re welcome ;)

so what is wiww, you ask?  just a little get together, a support group of sorts, where a pile of us show pics of what we’ve worn each week.  i began doing this because as a stay-at-home mom i had no motivation to get out of my pj’s or sweats.  i realized i wore a hat everywhere i went because i was too lazy to do my hair that day, or sometimes too lazy to even shower.  i needed a kick in the pants and so i decided i’d post a week’s worth of pictures of what i wore each day.  it was pretty bad – mostly pj’s and sweats.  and i wanted more.  more for my husband to come home to and more for me so i would feel a little bit pretty, and not so sloppy.  as silly as it is, even adding a necklace just does something for your self-confidence.  making small efforts for yourself boosts your self-esteem just a bit.

so here we are, and here’s my week of pics!

I love how there is a nerf dart in the background of the last shot (c:

  10. 10

You always look so effortlessly stylish…like you “just threw this on”, but so cute!

  11. 11

You are always adorable in anything! I LOVE the rocking socks. I worked at a place many moons ago where we wore business attire uniforms. A co-worker ‘rebelled’ by ALWAYS wearing funky color/pattern socks. Made me think of her.

  12. 12

I don’t wear a suit everyday to work, but I do wear dress clothes. Whenever I wear tall, healed boots under my pants (like today), I wear the most obnoxious socks in the world.

I have also been known to wear fuzzy slipper socks under them on days when it’s really cold…..

  13. 13

I don’t have those socks (although I waaaaant them) but I do have that black x-back chair!

  14. 14

Linds, this is my favorite week of yours in a long time! Not that I didn’t like your other outfits, I just like it when you post a lot of different ones. Love your creativity in putting things together. Always inspires the boring me to break out of my little box of preppy.

  15. 15

OK, so I just gotta know — – did you get the sequined sweatshirt recently? Because I love it and would really like to get own one myself…..
thanks! and I like the polka dot socks!!!

  16. 16

Do you think you could do a wiww for preteen and teen girls. I need some ideas and my daughter needs some help ;). The ideas she’s puts together make me want to cancel Disney channel. This age is hard!

  18. 18

I love that you are standing on a chair in that one photo! :) And I LOVE your polka dot socks!!

  19. 19

I’ll be praying for your trip to India. I am from Kerala which is where a lot of the Christians are in India and of course it is dear to my heart that the gospel be spread through that country.

  20. 20

Phew!! Glad you cleared that up. I have been wanting to link up but thought it only meant what I wore on a Wednesday and seeing that I am a SAHM pajama pants are usually the uniform but I get down on the weekends! I will be linking up starting next week.

Love your look! Prayers and well wishes for your trip to India.
