linking up a day late with jeannett!
last saturday our church hosted “serve day” where hundreds of volunteers go out into the community and do acts of service, from gardening, to painting, to cleaning, to visiting. our group was in charge of trail maintenance on a local trail.
it was a beautiful day and we had a large crew, so our work went pretty quickly after our 1 mile or so hike. as fun as the work was, i found myself visiting my chiropractor just a few days later.
i have found that i’m losing my work mojo at night and all i want to do is sit in bed. but i can’t stand having idle hands, so i’ve been making use of all my littlest scraps (you can see a tiny piece of a lampshade down on the floor in the bottom right hand corner).
my in-laws were visiting and gifted us some time together after the kids were down. a quick trip to a coffee shop usually fits the bill!
this is my every night. one computer on my lap, one at the foot of the bed with a show, and something sweet in my hands.
my computer showed a sneak peek of my messenger bag (that sold out). more messenger bags will be finished soon!
sometimes i just look at my kids and am in awe of their beauty. this was one of those times.
with the warmer weather, silas fell back in love with his bike. he’s been making obstacle courses for “a show” he’s going to put on. thankfully, he listened to my recommendation to not do this one.
i surprised the kids with a trip to cal poly in the middle of our homeschool day to see the horses. i was expecting to see all the pregnant mama horses, but so many of them had already had their babies! it is always such a treat to see them every year.
clean desk. i had to document it because it only lasted for about 5 minutes. literally. a clean desk is super inspiring for me. inspiration quickly causes a mess.
i spent a few minutes reorganizing the kids’ markers. i was supposed to be folding laundry, but these were so much prettier!
i’ve got a breakfast date with my girlfriends today, thinking about going for a run (i’ve fallen off the consistency wagon), need to pull weeds in our veggie garden, and have tons of other projects to do. what’s on your list?
