instafriday

life rearranged

i’m linking up again with jeannett and sharing my phone pics from the week!

early morning run.  its getting less miserable.  not yet enjoyable, but better.

the 3 kids have tried so many times to have a sleepover together and it has never worked.  within 15 minutes silas got kicked out and into his own room.  when i made a deal with him to let him try again, he knew himself better and just asked to be brought back in with the girls once he was asleep.  seeing the 3 of them sleeping together was a treat in itself!

page 1 on big cartel’s handmade shops – woohoo!  so fun to have friends right there with me.

oh, a glorious sunday at the beach!

and monday’s happy reminder of the beach day.  it was so hot at 7 this morning that i came home from my run and lay down on the cool shady concrete in the backyard just to try to cool my body down!  we have had incredible weather this week.

we wake up nearly every morning to some assortment of kids in our bed.  they usually wander in around 6:30 then fall back asleep for a bit.  sleeping babies have always been my favorite.

i had a few big tasks to get done that i had been putting off for awhile.  i needed some motivation and i found it at the bottom of our candy jar.

a couple years ago for valentine’s day, sean got me this “latte machine”, as i call it.  and when i want my sweet barrista to get to work, i usually hint by sliding out the machine and waiting for him to get the point.  but i decided that maybe i should actually learn how to make the yummy things and sean has shared his secrets with me.  i’m definitely getting better!

i have this silly idea that i want to redo the girls’ room.  and i really haven’t asked them their opinion on it much.  i just tell them my ideas and sound really excited and then when they start chiming in i change the subject.  horrible i know, but whatever.  i let them wear pretty much whatever combination of clothes they want, so they can give me this, right?  i’ve been creating a pinterest board for them and have just about all the fabrics i need for their new quilts.  i just got in my orders from hawthorne threads and the fabric shoppe (both with super fast shipping) and am just waiting on fabric.com (super slow shipping – boo).

a long late night, catching up on all my shows while cutting for new products.  my back hurts, my legs hurt, and my wrists are aching.  good times.

what’s on tap for your weekend?  i’m thinking garage sale-ing (maybe we’ll actually have one?), work on a new qbm booth setup (?), and then go to the local flea (like a giant garage sale at the drive-in) on sunday morning before church.

I see you also love pinning your favorite fabrics…it’s really my favorite way to use pinterest so far…I can’t always buy all the fabric I want but I sure as heck won’t forget where I found it. Have a happy weekend and Mother’s Day!

My 3 yr old daughter walks into the bedroom of her brothers every night and climbs in bed with one of them. It’s my favorite thing to walk into their room and see them all sleeping together.

Linsey, sweet pictures of your little ones. It looks like it was a great week. I too love sleeping babies. It is so precious to wake too the deep breathing of all the little ones that have joined us during the night. Good times. Enjoy your weekend. Happy Mother’s Day.

I can’t believe how much your photo of sleeping babes looks like my children! I have girl/boy/girl as well and I know too well about separating my boy if we are to have some peace. (And my boy also knows that he can’t help himself and needs some re-direction.) Very funny. It’s good to know it’s not just me…
