birthday goodies

my family and friends know me so well!

this pretty little collection is just a sampling of all the fun gifts i was given for my birthday last week – so fun, right?!

i was spoiled!

i spotted this cow creamer from the corner of my eye while in target last week.  i almost went back to grab it, but so glad i didn’t since i got it as a gift!  the kids think its hilarious!

the measuring cups, oh the measuring cups!  anthropologie, you make the ordinary beautiful!

i need fabric in these prints and colors!

itty bitty yellow whisk and fun new ramekins – yay!

and my very own fossil bag!  its like carrying a piece of art on my shoulder!

and a little gift to myself (from the queen bee market)

i’m not sure exactly what it is (an old record case, maybe?) but i LOVE the colors!

what would you use it for?  i want to have it set out somewhere, but it kinda needs a reason/purpose.

i’d love some suggestions!

    Trina Miner says:

    Magazine holder for the bathroom
    Legos for Silas
    Markers and coloring books
    Cookbooks in the kitchen
    Beach towels rolled up
    Scarves and mittens

    Oh…the possibilities are endless! Enjoy!

    Some nice flowers.

    Love all your birthday goodies!

The aqua case looks perfect for magazines, or maybe some sort of on-the-go crafting materials. I can just see lovely candy-colored skeins of yarn and a crochet hook or knitting needles peeking our against that gorgeous aqua color.

  5. 5

    Great birthday goodies! :-)

  6. 6

    Those are fun treats!

    I love feeling/being known well by friends…

  7. 7

Love the case! You could use it for:

-flowers, imagine some beautiful sunflowers in there!!
-a place to put a bolt of fabric or two
-storage for wrapping paper or anything long and tubular
-it would make a really cute umbrella holder too!

Lots of possibilities! I’m sure you will find something perfect to do with it. I can totally see it in the center of your table or island filled with something bold and colorful!

  8. 8

The goodies are so fun! I’d use it as a stash away for the straws!! Just to keep at the ready when you need to refill in the kitchen:-) Summer is here, so for you and by family both, it’s smoothie time!!! Must have straws ALWAYS! Looks like you had a very happy birthday! Best wishes from LOVD!

  9. 9

My thought was magazines as well or maybe toilet paper? Love your style!

  10. 10

That “whatever it is” case is my new fav color!!! I think I would put my embroidery, crochet or whatever project I am working on in it. That way I could carry it with me wherever…the car, the bedroom, the family room etc…and know that everything I need is in one place and won’t get lost! So fun!

  11. 11

what a great bunch of gifts!! happy birthday to you!!

  12. 12

Happy belated birthday! I have the same fossil bag and LOVE it. It can hold so much!

  13. 13

Great gifts! I’ll bet there’s something in the craft/school room just waiting for your “whatever it is”.

  14. 14

Yes, it is a record case. Great color. It would look cute open with knitting supplies in it with the hooks sticking out. Then if you don’t knit……how about using it for a picnic.

Love all your goodies and the measuring cups are to die for but probably not something I could easily justify but that little cow creamer….how have I not seen this!!!! It’s adorable guess it is going to be a Targetbrun day!! Happy belated birthday and enjoy those goodies!!!

  16. 16

What lovely gifts! I’ve been lusting after that cow creamer, but I’d only seen it in white!

  17. 17

I have that yellow cow too!

And, I need those ramekins. And the whisk. Are they from Anthro too???

  18. 18

Great gifts :) I have never seen that Fossil bag and loooove it – anyone know where it is from?

  19. 19

I’m in love with your purse! Glad you enjoyed your birthday.

  20. 20

Maybe you could use it as a recipe favorites box? I would put little dividers in for breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and desserts. :)

  21. 21

Definitely a flower vase. Put some waterproof containers of course in first and just let the beautiful flower burst from the open top!

  22. 22

On the go crafting box. For those projects you can take with and work on around town. Waiting at lessons, at the library while the kids are book hunting stuff like that. But I saw someone suggest magazines…that’s a great idea too.

All your love of color reminds me that I love color too but always shy away because I think neutral lasts longer. What’s wrong with me?! It’s so boring.

    Happy belated birthday!

  23. 23

I was thinking magazines too. Or a fun game that requires lots of pieces that you need to contain somewhere, but only want to drag out every once in a while. And I am JEALOUS of the fossil bag and anthro measuring cups. I’m sending my hubby a link to this post right this second. Happy, happy, happy birthday!

  24. 24

That is a record case I have not seen one since I was a pre-teen back in the dark ages.

  25. 25

I would definitely use that case for magazines! Very cute. I love fun vintage finds. You got a lot of great goodies. I really like those measuring cups!

  26. 26

I LOVE the purse. I have obsessively been looking for it online with no luck! Any ideas where they got it?!

  27. 27

What are the pretties behind the cow? Napkins? Tea Towels? They look and bright and colorful. Love the measuring cups. Anthropologie is my drug of choice!!! ;) LoL

  28. 28

Where in the world did they find those cutie ramekins?! I want them!

  29. 29

Mail that needs to be or has been sorted?

  30. 30

I think it’s a file case. But I saw someone else suggested putting flowers in it and I concur. Would look pretty.

  31. 31

happy belated birthday. glad you were celebrated and also bought yourself a treat. :)

here’s my suggestions of what you could put in that fun blue case:
    magazines/newspapers/mail to be read
flowers or plants (in waterproof pots)
    crafts like knitting (portable!)
rolled-up towels/washcloths or toilet paper in bathroom (if case is deep enough)
stationery supplies like greeting cards, book of stamps, pen, etc.
files (again if case is big enough) holding recipes/kids’ art/etc.
loose change (to be used for future treats)
door-stop (with a brick in it)
    toy/coloring books-and-crayons box
laundry detergent (to hide the ugly box and hopefully keep it away from little kids and pets)
    sewing or first-aid kit
    picnic basket
    holder of tv/other remotes

    have fun with it!

and thanks for what you share on your blog. very inspirational.

  32. 32

oh my goodnessss am I loving those measuring cups!!!!!!

  33. 33

First of all Happy Belated Birthday Blessings to you!!! … I think it looks like an old file holder. Although I know it held albums back when because my sister had one and she’s old lol. I would put the patterns or files that you use the most of in it.. So they are handy and you don’t have to dig.
    Love, Gweny

  34. 34

love all those cute goodies! that bag is just fabulous. ;) & happy (belated) birthday!

  35. 35

    Knitting needles!

  36. 36

That cow creamer and I need to be friends. And the measuring cups, too. So cute!

  37. 37

    fun stuff!

i am loving the measuring cups and ramekins. those might need to go on my wish list :o)

  38. 38

Anthro has the CUTEST stuff. Those measuring cups are adorable! And the case is gorgeous, I’m jealous!!

  39. 39

I love the measuring cups! And that cow creamer! As for the blue box, I would use it for a crafting on the go bag. I always bring something to work on when going to a friends house for coffee, or even if we are meeting at starbucks for coffee. I love to talk and work with my hands at the same time.

  40. 40

I have that cow!!! Love it!!! Mine is pure white and we laugh every time we use it! Too fun!

  41. 41

Everything is so beautiful! Where did you find your antique bronze turquoise hooks?:)

  42. 42

I would say use it as a magazine rack next to your sofa or side table! That’s probably what I would use it for. You got some great stuff! Happy Birthday to you! I especially love the Fossil bag!!

  43. 43

i’d love to know where that bag came from too! it’s not on the fossil website and i’m thinking i need to be letting the birthday fairies round these parts know that i would like a new bag for my birthday in July *wink*. also, that cow creamer is adorable!! love it all. :)
