life rearranged
linking up my weekly phone pics with jeannett again!

waking up to quiet last friday morning was awesome. leaving a room to be cleaned by someone else was even better!

while sean left for a morning meeting, i stayed and worked (in bed) and ordered room service and had breakfast (in bed).

i foolishly really just wanted to use my new bag for our trip down south.  but a bag meant for overnights isn’t logical to bring for 4 nights, hence the unzipped zipper.

and since sean was spoiling me non-stop for my birthday, he even took me to a fabric store!  i’ll keep him.

and then he helped me set up my booth for the queen bee market, in record time!  it usually takes me hours and we were done so quickly i didn’t know what to do with myself!

i was so happy with how everything looked!

as always, the vendors at the market were amazing.  but i only took a handful of pics so no big recap post this time – sorry!

all the tie/suspender sets from bebecha were darling!

this whole setup was drool worthy

these knit headbands from the love stitch were so pretty

these earrings from acute designs were calling my name.  apparently they called so loudly that my sister-in-law heard and got them for me for my birthday!

there aren’t even words to say how adorable these peg dolls are!

i snagged these 2 goodies from smitten.

jess’s booth is always amazing.  it helps that she has the most beautiful products to display.

since i was solo at the market i took a little time out for myself, went to a coffee shop to work for a few hours (met a sweet blog reader there!), then wandered around the outlets nearby.  as nice as it is to have some quiet time, i was really missing my family.  i’m not so good at being alone.

i love spending time with jess and mique.  love it.  don’t get enough of it.  ever.

back with the kids, we spent hours with family and friends – this night’s entertainment was playing chubby bunny!

and then we got home.  ugh.  uuuuuuuugh.  this was our house for a few days.  i had a really hard time getting back into the swing of reality and having my floor and table covered didn’t help.  but we are now super clean and i feel super productive.  funny how that happens…

i need blackout shades in my room.  i used to be able to sleep in and now my body wakes me up before anyone else in the house.  me no likey.

not so sure how i feel about lily doing “wiww” type photo shoots.  like mother, like daughter?  i guess it makes sense since she takes most of my pictures.

i was overzealous and thought i could cut through all this fabric in one night.  try one week.  i’ve made it through quite a bit of it, but there are still 2 heaping piles left.

my kids are at pretty awesome ages.  i can hang out with them in the playroom while i work, and give them little tasks/games to do.  they always love sorting my buttons.  it was really fun to see the different designs they came up with – like double rainbows.

ever the fashionista, lily reminded me of jess this week (the queen of print mixing).  her skirt was made by ruthanne.

a rare moment of cleanliness deserved a picture.

school is almost done and we always celebrate with a history day.  this year the kids are putting on a wax museum and each student plays a different character from the history we have studied this year.  lily is mary queen of scotts.  my mom took an old costume she had made for me and resized it to fit lu.  i made the collar out of a paper window shade and her headpiece out of a pie tin.

gracie is going as anne boleyn and i just revamped an old costume and made another headpiece out of a spray painted pie tin and some goodwill pearls.

my bathroom redo is taking so long!  i am cheap and indecisive and those 2 things don’t make for a fast project!  but i did finally get the towel hook changed out.  now i just think i need to raise it…

look at lisa’s site next week for the release of her new summer line of jewelry!  i am loving this piece – it is so comfy and pretty!

gracie and sean went for a date last night.   it was so cute seeing them both get ready for each other.

so there was our crazy week!  next week we finish school and i am so looking forward to lazy days around the house.  wiww is going to take some real effort this summer!

    Your booth looked awesome!
    Love the costumes!

I ADORE your house! It looks so peaceful. I can’t wait for more messenger bags in your store :) I’m a new reader and have been looking back at old WIWW posts…I am inspired by how far your style has come and have been trying to copy some of your outfits, lol. Please keep it up through the summer, I’ll need the motivation to get out of my yogas as I chase after my 2yr old & 8 month old!

I admire all your hard work with your handmade products. Just lovely. You should be very proud.

Of course, I feel like I need more of your bags now! Did you make Lily’s skirt? It is adorable, I would wear it myself.

  5. 5

I just have to say – you have some of the most beautiful children I’ve ever seen!

PS: I also adore your house and sense of style!! Wishing you the best summer ever!

I LOVE your livingroom. The white couches, the adorable sofa table, the wall color, the wood floors, everything. Beautiful.

  7. 7

I love your blog, and have really been inspired by what I wear! Also, your new, green bag looks really fun. Can I be nosey and ask what kind of bag it is?

you’ve had a fun birthday week… yeah! love that fabric.

the summer is the worst for keeping the house clean… it seems like we are in and out all day running from here to there and the piles just build up. drives me crazy!!! i am trying to stay on top of it. we take 15 minutes a night to do a tidy up so at least it doesn’t look cluttered. i set the timer and we all run like crazy.

the girls’ costumes are awesome. i am actually reading a book about anne boleyn. its been so interesting. next year we are studying kings and queens as one of our units so i can count this “fun” reading as research :O)

Where did you get that awesome anchor towel hook? I want one!

I have two words for you: sleeping mask. Changed my life. I used to think I couldn’t sleep with something around my head, but then I just couldn’t take how bright it was early in the morning (here in the Pacific NW it gets light very early and stays light very late, especially in June around the solstice). So I ordered this eye mask from amazon (lewis n. clark comfort eye mask) and loved it. I use it every night and take it with me when I travel. Wonderful!

Your booth is adorable!! I hope one day to make it to a handmade market to sell and shop!

    fun week.

evidently we have the royal family covered in the wax museum category. emilie went as queen elizabeth I. she was adorbs. i should send you and the girls the video. i think she was 8 at the time. so right around gracie and lily’s ages.
your pie tins made great hair pieces. they didn’t have those when emilie was 8. :-)

lindsey, love love your blog. and now i MUST know the designer/name of that knit stitch fabric. totally a knitter (not a seamstress unfortunately) but i’d love to snag some of it to force my momma to make me something!!
