life rearranged

linking up my phone pics with jeannett again this week!  if you’re on instagram, i’m thepleatedpoppy.

we have had a hot couple of weeks, and our garden is proof!  we are getting this much tomatoes twice a day!

breakfast with a friend is a great way to start a day!

sean and i were able to sneak off for a date:  the drive-in!

i thought we were younger than we are and wanted to watch the double feature.  we fell asleep halfway through the second movie!

saturday through wednesday this week, we were working on building retaining walls in our front yard.  we hit the water main twice. our plumbing bill ate up 1/5 of our project budget.  bum.mer.

how was your week?

  1. 1

Egads! I have so many home projects on hold because I know, just know, that lurking beneath the surface is something big! Our last two projects wreaked havoc on our lives when on one we discovered mold inside the wall and the other when we found a rotten sill plate. Budget breakers are not fun!

But, on the bright side — you exposed your water main and now can cover it back up and feel secure that all your hard work won’t have to be disturbed in the next few years due to a break you didn’t cause. Can’t wait until the finished project is featured here on a future instafriday.

i love the movie date pics!! the pic of the bed in the back of your car is what made me click over from life rearranged. my husband and i used to do this back in college and when we lived in dallas where some of the surrounding towns had drive-ins and these were the best dates. we would bring snacks and it was so much fun! i love that quilt, by the way!!

  3. 3

Im not sure how yet but, the faucet picture could be a good visual for a charity water campaign.

Love that you and hubs went to the drive-in. Seems very romantic.

    hello fellow instafriday poster :)

oh how i wish we had a drive in. that look like so much fun. cannot think of a better time then cuddling with my love, in the back of our jeep watching a movie outside *sigh*

    happy weekend!!!

Sorry about that water condition. Kind of a pain, huh?

The drive-in looks awesome. I’ve never been. I really, really want to go to one though.

Drive in movies… something I REALLY want us to do before the summer comes to an end..

  7. 7

Oh my gosh the drive-in looks like so much fun! Have a great weekend!

  8. 8

Oh I am so jealous of your date-night at the drive inn! I used to go all the time growing up, but there isn’t one close by anymore!

    Have a great weekend!

  9. 9

How fun that you still have a drive in to go to. There are two around here but both are 25 minutes away so we don’t bother. Fond memories of going to them as a kid. :)

  10. 10

Oh no! That sounds awful and looks gross. haha. Love that you guys went to the drive in, that’s fun. I wish we had one close by! Hope you have a great weekend.
