i am constantly updating my entryway. i feel like even though you walk straight into my great room, no formal entry way, this spot still speaks a lot to what to expect in my house.
the yellow dresser, painted french pale gold by behr, is my biggest statement piece. it was my first bold move towards adding color to my house – i still love it!
it holds all the kids crafts and art accessories in the top 6 drawers, and the bottom 3 hold the wooden trains and tracks. it is really a work horse here!
so the wall arrangement is a little off-centered, but its because i have the wall hooks on the left that get filled and balance it out.
i’m thinking of painting the mirror frame with a glossy grey like the lamp i revamped.
i love everything katie daisy does, and took one of her pretty paintings and clipped it to a clipboard about the mirror, along with a pic of the kids.
the canvas i painted at the top pulls together all the crazy colors throughout the house and makes them make sense.
i also took a piece of my favorite fabric from anna maria horner and added it to a hoop.
my newest piece i added is a canvas red letter words sent me – isn’t it so pretty?!
the turquoise is absolutely the perfect color to balance the entry way.
and the verse? i can’t walk past it without singing it out loud. and if you’re like me, its really helpful to have visual reminders of what we are called to do.
i also love how thick the canvas is!
and here’s a little history of my entry way:
this table is now behind my couch (painted mermaids net by behr) and it looks really good with the yellow dresser.
this look is pretty, but a little blah (compared to what it looks like now). you can definitely see how my stye has changed!
and then i added the painted dresser and more color, and the wall hooks.
and here’s how its pretty much looked until now.
guess what?! dee from red letter words wants your walls to be just as pretty as mine!
