happy wednesday! thanks for joining me for another wiww. if you’re new here and wondering what all this hullabaloo is all about, here’s the deal: i started taking pictures of my weekly outfits a couple years ago to keep myself accountable to actually getting dressed every day. as a stay-at-home mom, it was so easy to stay in my pj’s or sweats all day long. but if i had to take pictures, i would put a little extra effort into myself. now we’re not talking a ton of extra time – just a few minutes. wanna join me? link up below! be sure to look through all the lovely links – you can get a lot of real life inspiration!
cooler mornings and evenings with perfectly warm days call for cardigans! this asymmetrical cardigan is a favorite of mine that my sister gave me when i tried to steal hers.
cardigan – all saints
v-neck t-shirt – forever 21 (like $4?)
jeans – forever 21
flats – payless
i’m loving the fit of these jeans – not quite skinny jeans and not quite boyfriend cut – the perfect in between.
necklace – lisa leonard designs
church outfit
cardigan and ruffle top – banana republic
jeans – forever 21
black suede wedges – payless
necklace and bracelets – lisa leonard designs
i’m trying to figure out my style all the time. maybe because it keeps changing? i am loving finding the mix of comfort (always) and style. this top gives the feeling of casual (with a little shimmer of gold!) and the polka dots and ballet flats give it a girly edge. i’d love to find a vintage inspired concert t to try with the same outfit.
other than earrings, i didn’t wear any jewelry. what would you wear with this? i couldn’t decide.
and i put my hair in sponge curlers the night before and felt like i had prom hair! too bad it only looked like this while i dropped my kids off at school then i worked up a nasty sweat in the yard until it was time to pick them up again.
cardi – forever 21
t-shirt – target
skinnies – target
flats – payless
wristlet clutch – the pleated poppy
its not too often i make stuff for myself, but i kept eyeing this bag so i finally took it! it is just the right combo of colors and prints – just super happy!
and for a small bag, it packs a big punch! look at all i fit in there: sunglasses in a sunnies case, a tiny pouch holding cash, credit cards and i.d., checkbook, phone, eye drops, pens, chap stick and lipliner. and it all hangs from a handy dandy wrist strap! i don’t normally go for matchy matchy, but i die of cuteness a little everytime i take out my coordinating tiny pouch to pay for anything! (yes, i’m a dork).
if i still had babies in diapers, i would use a clutch to corral diapers and wipes, rather than letting them float all over my bigger bag. somedays i tuck a clutch into my messenger bag so i have the option to go smaller and also organize my bigger purse.
wanna link up with me? yay! just follow the rules:
1. link to your specific blog post, not your blog’s main page. ex: http://thepleatedpoppy.com/2011/09/what-i-wore-wednesday-fall-inspiration/ not http://thepleatedpoppy.com/blog/.
2. please only link outfit related posts. your craft project may be adorable, or that may be a great giveaway, but this linky is for outfit related posts only – thank you!
3. please please please link back here to me so all this wiww stuff makes sense to your readers. and its just nice to do ;) grab a button from my sidebar (see the code box?).
4. check out as many links as possible! i am constantly inspired by so many outfits each week! and you will definitely find some new blogs that you’ve never stumbled upon before – so fun!

Great outfits, Lindsey! I particularly like the second one, with the not-skinny-not-boyfriend jeans.
I love the fit of those Forever 21 jeans too! Do you know what they’re called? I tried finding them on the website but couldn’t quite figure out which ones they were.
What a cute little clutch! And I love it when my wallet matches my purse. ;) As usual your outfits are all cute and comfy looking. ;)
Adorable clutch! I love all of your outfits, as always. Those jeans sound amazing!
I love your outfits, so cheery and chic. I also noticed your mantle with the starfish and beach decor. Exactly what I’m going for!
What a great idea! I love that so many ladies participated. I can’t wait to go through all the links.
I see the collection is closed :-((
I’ll try to link up earlier next time.
It is still Wednesday here in Luxembourg.
Have a nice day!
