pretty packaging

i am pretty consistent with my packaging for products from my shop – i want customers to be excited about their package and feel like they are opening a gift, but i don’t want to cut into my profit too much by using expensive materials or take too much time with an elaborate wrap job.
using pretty tissue paper and twine has been my simple solution!  after each order is wrapped in a protective poly bag, we wrap it in tissue paper.  for years i have used chocolate brown paper, but have just found the perfect coral pink that i think is perfect!  we bought a giant spool of baker’s twine with a thread of green running through it.
the package is simply wrapped with the baker’s twine and tied with a bow, then we slip my business card under.
but something was missing…
i found these amazing cards from pen & paint and right away i knew they’d be perfect!  i have a stack of them that i can write little thank you notes on to my customers and then tuck them in with their package.
the colors of the card are amazing and look perfect with the bright coral paper – i only wish the cards came with handwriting lessons (i can’t stand my handwriting!).
pen & paint is owned by lindsay (great name!), a busy mama of 2 boys who loves sharing her happy artwork & hopes to inspire others to small things with great love!
there are so many pretty things in her shop – go check them out!

I think everyone feels that way about their own handwriting (myself included) while we envy others. I think your handwriting is great, it’s fun and reflects how creative you are!

Love the new packaging and notes. Your attention to detail did not go unnoticed when I received my first (of hopefully many) Pleated Poppy purchases!

How come I can’t wee your entire posts anymore? The header is gone as well as the first few lines of each post. It’s been like this for a while, I’ve just been to lazy to ask. :) I miss it!
    Really cute packaging.

I love this packaging- this is great idea in time for Christmas (I’ve been using reusable handmade fabric bags, but sometimes I need to just paper wrap something)

lovely packaging, affordability is so important and tissue paper and twine is super affordable and coincidentally, adorable! I love all of linsday’s stuff, I have yet to order because I’m so undecided!

o.k. that little card just spoke to me. Now I’m going to have to go make something with love … or else stick a couple of those cards on my children. Great packaging!
