it has been hot here.  like for us, crazy hot.  i think it was 101* yesterday, and somewhere near that today.  now for many of you, thats normal.  but you probably have air conditioning, don’t you?  because this type of heat only comes for a short time each year, very few people here on the central coast have air conditioning.  so we suffer.  as much as someone with all their needs abundantly met suffers ;)

anyhoo, i was pretty excited for about an hour this morning when i was able to wear jeans and slippers, but that didn’t last long…

then i spent the rest of the day as the door nazi, yelling at anyone who left it open for more than 2 seconds.

how fun is this necklace?!  i love the long length – i found myself playing with the pendant all day, it feels like a foreign coin in my hands – chunky and thick.

and, it flips over to the reverse side with a white monogrammed clock face!

jennifer dahl designs was so generous to offer all of you a 25% discount to her shop!  just use code POPPY25 at check out (good thru Oct 15).

101 degrees?!?! Yikes! Cute polka dot jeans! A grey t-shirt and jeans is my favorite comfy outfit, ever. :)

  2. 3

Your slipper picture made me laugh- love the look on your face! It was 100 here today, too, in northern California, so I feel your pain. I love your polka dot jeans! And I love this link up!! :) I’m a first time linker upper, but I will definitely be back for more!

  3. 4

I feel your pain about the 100+ heat with no AC. Argh. You look so cute in your church outfit! Great polka dot pants.

    Thanks for the linky!

  4. 5

We’ve been having beautiful weather and then yesterday is felt like July?!! Crazy.

Love the clutch from your shop!!

  5. 6

I live in Florida and it’s be absolutely hot here as well. Definitely no where near fall! Love those polka dot pants. Too cute!

  6. 7

My first time linking up! Fun! I love the slipper shot. :) I love the colors from the peak into that office (?) space behind you. Lovely colors together!

  7. 8

I live in Texas where it gets hotter than fried hell and I am absolutely astounded that you don’t have air conditioning. I can’t even fathom not having an air conditioning. It’s like not having running water! :) But you look cute anyway, and really, isn’t that all that matters?

  8. 9

Your polka dot pants are adorable!

  9. 10

    Love the polka dot pants!

  10. 11

Lindsey, will you be my personal shopper at Forever 21? I get so overwhelmed in that store but know there are deals to be found.

  11. 12

    Cute polka dot jeans!

  12. 13

Well, personally, I do not think all of your needs are met if there is no air conditioning! :( So glad you survived! :)

  13. 14

I like your jean jacket….I threw mine away in a frenzy of closet cleaning and I regret it!

  14. 15

Just found your blog! Love it! Can’t wait to link up next Wednesday! New follower!

  15. 16

I took your survey and I just have to say that when I had to rank your topics from most to least favorite I didn’t like having to rank any as least favorite. :) I like them all! Even if it’s not something I’m interested in (i.e. we don’t homeschool, so that topic doesn’t “reach” me), I still love to read bloggers who blog about their real life whether it’s totally in step with mine. I like getting to know the “whole person,” not just the part that everyone is the most interested in, if that makes any sense.

  16. 17

I need to get those jeans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so cute! and I’m so sick of this heat!

  17. 18

I just bought the polka dots jeans from Target the other day and I do own those flats from last year….we are starting to have fall weather here in the PNW. I walked today and it was down right chilly! :)

  18. 19

Those polka dot pants are DARLING. We need cooler temps here in Phoenix BADLY too!

  19. 20

oh lindsey i feel you, girl – i live in north carolina and it’s still SUPER hot here, too. LOVE those polka dot pants! thanks for hosting!!

  20. 21

Love that necklace! I live in Gilroy and it’s been stinkin’ hot here too, so I feel your pain!

  21. 22

I have looked at two targets for your polka dot pants and cannot find them…and I want them! Maybe because we live in Michigan?? Love your site and have gotten so many ideas for outfits..just haven’t worked up the courage to post:)

  22. 23

So that’s where the warmth is. It’s been unseasonably cold north of the border (near Toronto). We’re calling for single digit (celsius) by Sunday….let’s just say my WIWW would have shown sweaters, fleece and sweats. Mind you I did wear shorts the past two days just one last time.

  23. 24

Love the necklace. Had to have one! A big thank you to you and Jennifer.

  24. 25

This is so much fun! I just discovered your WIWW, and I love it! And I really like that necklace, too!
