welcome to what i wore wednesday! in case you’re new here, here’s a little background on what all this craziness is about: after years of staying home with my kids, my effort in the style department was in serious decline. i mean, i felt like putting on sweats and a baseball hat was getting dressed! most days i didn’t bother getting out of my pj’s. one day i decided to start posting pics of my daily outfits on my blog to motivate myself to put a little more effort into my appearance. and so my weekly post of “what i wore wednesday” was born!
this week i went back east to pennsylvania for allume. it was an exhausting weekend, but i am really glad i went. lots of late nights and early mornings – i should be used to it, but i feel like i am still catching up on my sleep.
this is kind of my standard travel outfit:
cardigan – all saints
top – banana republic
jeans – target
boots – steve madden
i know its easier to travel wearing flats rather than boots, but i was only taking a carry on and i didn’t want to try to squeeze my boots into it, so on they went!
(custom phone case – a drop of golden sun)
infinity scarf – the pleated poppy (i just added more to the shop!)
petal pusher – the pleated poppy
i am always cold at conferences, so layers are good for me.
cardigan – target
striped top & jeans – forever 21
scarf – the pleated poppy
flats – target
messenger bag – the pleated poppy
cardigan – forever 21
black v-neck – forever 21
coral skinnies – target
flats – payless
necklace – groopdealz

Love those Target flats with the turquoise bow… what a great find! Wearing layers when traveling is a definite must. Happy Halloween!
I love the ruffles in the first outfit!!! Super cute! :)

I am just SMITTEN with those flats!! Good thing I didn’t see them at Target — I would’ve nabbed them for sure. And goodness knows I already have plenty of shoes. ;)
Those flats are fantastic! I am in love with that pink pant, turquoise necklace ensemble. I have that necklace, of course, in yellow. I would love it in turquoise too. You look great, as always!
Somehow I missed meeting you at Allume! So bummed! Hope you had a great weekend!
That ruffled Banana top is perfection! And those Target flats are darling! You looked super cute every day.

I purchased those black/white Target flats recently! They’re so comfy!
they were way more comfy than i was expecting! i even brought bandaids with in case i got blisters!
love these looks, lindsey!! that scarf with the flower is gorgeous :)
thanks, molly!
You always have the most fabulous accessories. Those little flats from Target are so cute!
Love, love, love the first outfit. I want the whole thing. ;)
Cute outfits, Lindsey!! Loved that infinity scarf! Glad you had a good time at Allume.
I just adore all the outfits! I wish you could style me for our upcoming family photos. I feel so blah! :)
Oh, and to think I skipped over those flats on the clearance rack! Ack! They would have gone w/ my coral pants!
Those flats are really cute! And I love how you played with layering, especially on that first and last pictures! They’re casual but very stylish outfits!

I adore that first outfit – it looks comfy and fun with the ruffles under the asymmetric cardigan!
I love all your scarves! You just gave me a nice idea of adding a flower to it. Such a cute style.. :)
Love the flats! So cute, especially paired with your chevron bag…love chevrons!
I am glad you didn’t get caught in the storms in PA. I love the polka dot top from F21, I have never gone into their stores because I feel I am too old, but have some seen some really cute stuff!
Thanks for hosting! Love your striped messenger bag – so adorable! ;)
Oh no! I just realized I linked the same post this week as I did last week! I feel terrible because I know the rules- I just didn’t know I linked it until I went to add your link and saw it was there already. I really apologize. Feel free to delete it.
Thanks doll,
The Glamorous Housewife
Wow, almost 300 linkys! That’s fun.
I’m going on a girls’ weekend this weekend. It’s gonna be ALL yoga pants. Be prepared next week…. shows how many black comfy pants I really DO own!
:-)
I love your boots! I have a similar pair of Steve Madden’s, though darker. I love the lighter color as it’s a bit more versatile. The infinity scarf is also precious, and I can’t decide which I prefer–the turquoise and gray or the gray and pink.
On a super off-topic note, my sister (who is relatively new to photoshop) is in love with your header. Is there a name for that shape–I see it occasionally, but can’t really describe it in a google search?
those shoes are yummy!
Lovin’ that first outfit A TON. And your long hair – it looks so pretty!
Wow. Lovely post and what a great idea for a style library :) Thanks for sharing – love your cute outfits and accessories, and it’s really good to browse other people’s too, through your post. Hacve a lovely week! :)
