ok, its now fall here. i think our last bought of 85*+ weather is gone. and i’m a little sad. you see, i hate being cold. yes, layers are good, but i really have to layer. you can laugh at me, but if the temp drops below 50*, i am usually wearing leggings under everything i wear. and knee high sock are my best friend. i hate having cold ankles, so gone will be the days of wearing cuffed skinny jeans with cute flats – boo. i am a big fan of the scarf, so at least fall has that going for it.
if you are new here to wiww, welcome! i post pictures of what i wore throughout the week. i began doing this to motivate myself to put a few minutes of effort into myself and just get dressed – get out of the stay-at-home mom uniform of yoga pants and into real clothes. nothing expensive or elaborate, but put together, with maybe an accessory or 2 to elevate the basics. if you need a kick in the yoga pants, join me and link up your pics – its super motivating and really does work!
a little drizzle of rain was enough to wear rainboots for!

i often look to my pinterest style board when i’m in a rut. i find something that resembles items i already have in my closet, and see if i can make it work. so far, i’m not really successful with it (being honest). i kind of feel like this has a bit of a maternity look to it.
but wearing great accessories helps to detract from a so-so outfit. i have found that this gold nugget-ish necklace form lisa works with just about everything, even with other necklaces.
and i just received this watch from one little mama, and i was shocked at all the compliments i have been getting on it. even more surprising is how comfortable it actually is. it is pretty heavy, with all those chains, but i wore it all day, for several days, and never felt like i needed to take it off. and if you know me, comfort is a priority, so thats saying something!
here’s the picture i took inspiration from. i wanted a really long chained necklace to add to this, but i didn’t have one. and my jeans weren’t quite slim enough on the thighs, or flared enough at the leg opening to give it the same look. after wearing this for a few hours, i went back to my old stand-by of skinny jeans and flats – it felt so much more like me!
