the kids and i snuck away for a few hours to finish up a bit of shopping, making ruby rose our last stop.  its just such a happy place!

i have been taking advantage of our time off school to do some crafting.  i forget how much i love to create and it is so good for me to do something for myself and for my home.  i need to do it more.

the kids played so sweetly a few days this week.  this was a sweet tea party grace set up for the others.  at one point one of them said, “let’s call each other darling and have our pinkies up!”

after running some errands, i came home to hearing a magic show being performed in the girls’ room.  the Amazing Grace was performing magical feats (with the aid of an old martha stewart kids magazine she found tucked away), and the 2 littles were seriously in awe.  it was awesome.

but sometimes a girl’s just got to have some space.  she stayed reading in her room, slipping breakfast, until after 10 o’clock.  crazy kid.  love it.  right now she’s bouncing back and forth between alice in wonderland and through the looking glass.

i satt in front of the fireplace with a magazine many times this chilly week.  it was so lovely to see edie’s home featured in better homes and gardens!

after my scrap pile grew beyond its designated space, i finally had to take a few hours to sort through them all.  i secretly loved it ;)

Grace just makes me smile. She’s so much like my oldest daughter who’s 9. I love that picture of her reading in her room:)

Oh, my goodness – I nearly spat out my drink from laughing! In Australia “Copped a squat” means something very different! You certainly wouldn’t do it in front of a fire place!
