date night – woohoo!  turns out my hair does hold curls a little bit since i got a new curling iron.  i am so surprised that my curling iron i’ve had since jr. high wasn’t doing it.  #sarcasm

Can I adopt your parents? Or they can adopt me? :)

  3. 3

Loving that coffee table! And the last photo with all the v-day fabrics. Sweet! How nice that your parents come so often to help out!

it’s awesome that your son loves books. that is going to make it sooooo much easier when it comes to learning to read. our son loves books too, and could sit for hours from a young age just pouring over them, looking at the pictures, trying to figure them out. i would sign him bundles of them home from the library, even though he wasn’t able to read them yet. he actually turned out to be a late reader (not from lack of trying on his part) but that love of books was a constant motivation for him. he’s now in grade 4, and even though he’s a super active sporty kid playing hours of soccer and hockey each week, he still spends ton’s of time laying on the couch engrossed in his latest books. i have a lot of friends who struggle to get their sons to meet the minimum required reading homework for school each night at home, so it’s such a blessing when you don’t have to bug them about it, because it’s something they love to do anyway!

Your scarf looks great! Did you double up on the teal and gray scarves or have you created a color block scarf with the two patterns?
