what i wore wednesday

hey friends!  welcome to “what i wore wednesday”!  this is my weekly post where i share what i wore all week in an ongoing effort to stay out of my sweats and put just a little effort into myself.  are you feeling the desire to get out of your daily rut and try something new?  link up with me and find inspiration in all the other ladies here each week!

this week has been a mishmash of traveling, relaxing, more traveling, and more relaxing, so i definitely leaned towards the comfy!

what i wore wednesday at the pleated poppy

i like to play with proportions a bit.  sometimes it works.  sometimes it doesn’t.  while i think this outfit would’ve been better without the long sleeves under, it was too cold not to.  i’m ok with that!

oxford, long sleeve  & jeans – target

sweater – old navy

boots – steve madden (called sonnya)

Cozy, layered and warm is the way to go…especially here in New York where it’ll get down into the 20s this week{Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr}. Happy Wednesday!

    I love your Chevron-y necklace!

I just wanted to say that it was the long sleeves in the first outfit that caught my eye. I love layering like that, it feels and looks so cosy :) I actually love your “no effort” outfit. Sometimes I just crave some greys and blacks in the winter. Again, they feel so cosy. And I do the same, throw a scarf over to lift it a little.
    (I’m addicted to scarves lol)
    Happy new year! :)

I love all the layers in the shirts in your first outfit. Your last outfit is my favorite whenever you wear anything like that. And I have to say you make target jeans look amazing. ;)

Loving that first outfit! I wanna run to Target now and get me a sweater just like it!!!

What jeans do you get at Target? I can never find a pair of jeans I really like on myself, but I’ve never tried Target’s selection.
