We are in desperate need of a new car. Like REALLY desperate. We are just waiting for my current car to breathe it’s last, so to speak. It is old, not worth much and it has an expensive transmission problem. So…. we are going car shopping on Monday and I would put the $1500 towards a larger down payment or a really large payment on the loan to get us started with a bang. Or…. maybe I would be completely frivolous and buy a new couch! ;)

I would use it to take my babies to Sanibel Island. I used to vacation there with my family and Grandma. My husband and I had out honeymoon there. It is a very special place to me, and I have always dreamt of watching my littles play on the beach where I have so many memories.
I just went on a spending strike…but if I won, I’d use it to pay some bills (boring, but I’m just keepin it real! Ha! )… Then hit up target and my favorite thrift shops!!!

I would put it towards our never ending, going on 3 years now major kitchen remodel we are desperately trying to finish on a very tight budget with any volunteers we find. It was unexpected/but necessary due to mold we found in our newly purchased house. What was supposed to be our Dream forever home, has now turned into our living cash draining nightmare we hope we are able to sell after all this, at the end of the year! Prayers needed!

No question, I’d put it towards my August wedding. I feel guilty because I have been blessed with amazing parents who are willing to pick up the check for the entire thing and I work for a nonprofit. Well, the last few months we have been taking in for some weekend over-nights 2 of my friends children. Now, we were unexpectedly asked Monday if we would take a one month old baby for the weekend, beginning tomorrow night.
So, I would use the money for a stroller and car seat for this new baby, and a trundle bed for my daughter’s room so one of the kids won’t have to sleep on an air mattress anymore.

WOW. My hubby and I are doing Dave Ramsey’s financial peace and we are {this} close to being dept free and to do so we’ve been on a crazy tight budget with no room for fun trips. So, I think I’d put it towards a vacation we’ve been desperately wanting to take this year!!

We recently moved into my Grandmother-in-laws with our 2 sons so that my husband could take a new job to better our family. He is a mortgage loan officer and times have been a little tough. But through this whole transition period in our life, God has used it to open huge doors. He has put in our hearts a love for the homeless here in the KC area. We have started a ministry (my husband, two sons 11 and 3, and myslef) called ahopeforthehomelss. We drive around passing out food, coats, personal items etc. to those living on the streets, all in the name of Jesus. It has really given our family a since of how much we have to be greatful for. So I would put $500 toward our ministry, $500 towards our bills since my husband is working so hard to pay off the debt and still allowed me to stay home and homeschool our kiddos and I would do something special for my sons. They have been such little troupers through all of this. Thanks again for the chance to win. This is such a special thing you are doing!

i think i would keep it tucked in my wallet to buy myself all the little things i talk myself out of because the money could be spent better (cute new shoes, ice cream!, a pedicure, etc.).
i’d also like to buy something for my friends in dayton. they house at-risk girls who are homeless and facing some seriously tough situations in life. they are always looking for small gifts to give the girls as rewards for good behavior, being responsible, making the right decision, etc.
There are endless possibilities (well maybe not endless) but nonetheless a part of me would want to hold onto it for a rainy day. Another part would want to spend it all on my classroom for my firsties. Another part of me would want to spend it on my almost 2 year old and newest addition that will be joining us in July. I’d also love to use it for diy projects around my house. =)

If I won the $1500 I would save some of it for a trip for me and my boyfriend…I am currently finishing my credential for EC spec. ed. and have had no time to go on a mini vacation! So i think a little trip to San Fran. would be amazing! I would then use the extra $ to hire an investigator and find my birth parents. I have been wanting to for a few years now but have not had the $ so that would be a great help!

As a student in grad school the extra $1500 would help out A LOT. I wouldn’t spend it all in one place. I think instead I’d use it as an “emergency fund”. There are times in the month where no matter how hard I stretch, it seems like I don’t have enough money to pay all the bills I have. I’d keep this to help with those not so fun times. :)
