i’m linking up my weekly phone pics again with jeannett! i’m thepleatedpoppy on instagram if you want to follow me!
it sure looks like sean and i got a date night out of our fundraiser auction, but we actually hardly saw each other all night – we were working our tails off as helpers!
because i spent all day thursday and friday prepping for the auction, i missed out on a lot of time with my kids. and since sugar seems to cure all things, we took them out for donuts saturday morning. in our jammies.
saturday was deemed “science project day”, and it took all. day. long. gracie was studying lithography. after hours of attempts, we finally figured it out!
and lily and sean did canning – they made strawberry jam!
this girl is always a willing helper. she loves to help cook and always offers to help clean. she happily cleaned the wood floors of almost our whole great room on her hands and knees!
i debuted a bunch of new products this week, this gold striped pouch being one of them. i have more products in the works with gold in them and i’m loving them!
sean is always encouraging me to exercise, but finding the time/desire is always so hard. how do people do it?! i was able to get out twice this week for a walk. a walk. not run. baby steps.
as sean was encouraging me to get out and exercise so were the kids. i’m thinking that while i was away on my walk there was an air of encouragement going around and i came home to this sweet letter on my laptop from one of my girls. ”i like how you be kind” is my favorite!
sean and i both work out of the house most mondays together, and occasionally we’re able to have a lunch date. nothing beats sushi! spicy tuna hand roll, anyone?
once a month we take a turn in hosting our growth group. many of you asked, so here’s the explanation of what our night looks like: we meet as families – 6 families, 12 adults, 16 kids. we share a potluck meal together, then do a few songs of worship. then there’s a kids study on our sermon from sunday. then the kids break off to play while the adults do a short, but more in depth study of sunday’s sermon.
today is the last day for the “last chance” sale! also, every order today gets a free pair of chubby button hair clips (free friday!) – yay!
how cute is this month’s charm from lisa? its my favorite so far, for sure!
we got all of our schooling done early so i put on school house rocks and took myself a little nap.
wednesday morning i met with some of the other kindergarten moms for coffee. i’ve been on a hazelnut latte kick for quite some time now.
i had a late night date with myself painting these muslin bags with pretty dots.
here they are stuffed with goodies to give out at blissdom – i thought it would be fun to step up my game and hand out pretty gifts along with my biz cards. i’ve been handing out posies for the last 3 years so it was time to switch it up!
a little prep work for some mini bunting
the 3rd trimester of our school begins next week so i picked up all of our new books. this girl spent half the day reading as much as she could. its really hard to tell a kids to stop reading because its time to do school work. seems a little bit wrong? i am so thankful that she loves to read. now to work on the other 2…
my husband is home. my parents are here again. we have a short week of school next week. i am a happy girl!

I am looking for some muslin bags for wedding favors and was wondering where you got yours they are super cute!!
i’m not sure of the exact shop, but i searched for them on etsy under muslin bags. i hope that helps!
Your family is adorable! I was a book worm too when I was little. My sister would through tantrums because I refused to leave my books to play with her. Also, I LOVE the gold striped pouch!!
Love the donut pic! TOO cute!! : )

Happy Friday!
That sushi looks amazing. And how cute are those polka dot bags? Love them.
Sounds like a great week ahead too! Love the donuts in jammies trip.:) We’re in Canada for a wedding. Came late last night and we head back home tonight. Road trips can be tough(5 hrs each way) but God is good…Eric and I were able to stay awake and talk the entire trip last night while the girls slept in the back.
I love the rainbow of fabric picture, so pretty!
Just curioius Lindsey, what do you clean your wood floors with?
I keep hearing all these different things about what you should/should not do with wood floors, so I was just wondering how you clean yours and with what?
we honestly don’t deep clean them much, but we either use just water or bona.
LOVE the idea of giving out little gifts with your business cards! You are SURE to be remembered that way! ;)
That bunting looks fun! Canning strawberry jam sounds delicious!
Love this, thanks for sharing. I love all your fabric so pretty!
Blessings,
Adrienne
Zumba is the only thing that gets me to the gym. Now I am addicted and hate missing it.
