what i wore wednesday

wiww banner

welcome to “what i wore wednesday”!  this is a place i started to motivated myself to get dressed each day.  as a stay-at-home/work-at-home mom, it is really easy to lounge around all day in my jammies or sweats.  but getting dressed really does help me be more productive and feel better about myself!  if you’d like to join me, link up below!

i did a fun little photo shoot last week and got my hair and makeup done – so fun!  this was at the end of the day, so i wasn’t at my best, but you get the idea.

 dress – old navy

i spent a couple hours last week picking out outfits for our trip to france.  i tend to use pinterest kind of like google, and just search for what i’m looking for.  imagine my surprise when i searched for “wear in france” and a pin of me showed up!  apparently i already know what to wear ;)

all of the outfits below were ones i was debating on taking with.

i really like this outfit (not sure on the shoes, though), but since the temps are going to be in the mid 60’s i think bare legs are out for me.  i tried it with my boots too, but there wasn’t enough of a break between the skirt hem and the boot top, so it looked a little funny.  i think strappy wedges would be cute in the late spring with this.

cardigan – target

chambray shirt – forever 21

skirt – nordstrom/brass plum

belt – forever 21

flats – target

  1. 1

I just got back from France – so fun, but super cold! All your outfits looks great. Love the brown boots with the striped skirt. And shorts over tights is always a favorite of mine.:)

  2. 2

Yay! I have the first dress too. All of your outfits look great. :-)

  3. 3

Love all of your outfits this wee Lindsey! You are adorable!! Thanks so much for hosting!! Love your party!

  4. 4

What an exciting trip! You look so cute, and I love the versatility of the pieces you plan on bringing.

  5. 5

Have so much fun in France! You look so cute in the tights and shorts—totally wear it in Paris!

    Stephanie says:

Tights and shorts and boots is totally a Paris style! (I was just there last Nov, and live in Switzerland, so we see the influence.) And black….always black. With a scarf! It’s amazing how long you can re-wear the same clean clothes as long as you change your accessories. Jeans, tennis shoes and t-shirts, especially with English writing, will scream ‘American tourist’ to pickpockets.

  7. 7

I love your boots! I thought they were Frye boots but now that I know they are Steve Madden, I must invest! Also, I adore the tights and shorts look!

  8. 8

I love all of your looks – I think the right option (on all of the ones with multiple choice – including the three shoes) are the ones that all look the most polished. Enjoy Paris!!!

  9. 9

The one with the shorts is adorable!!

  10. 10

So jealous of your trip to France! I always go with black boots for Europe or a big city – they make me feel much more chic in fitting with the stylish city ladies :)

  11. 11

You won’t go wrong wearing boots. They have had much cooler weather there this year and it’s awful to be out and about and cold.

  12. 12

i laughed at loud at ‘apparently, i already know what to wear’ comment. love all the looks. hope you guys have a great time!

  13. 13

I know this is a silly question to ask but how tall are you? I love your outfits and are tempted to copy them but then I see the dress/skirts on the websites and they really short. My daughter and I are around 5’8. Thanks and have fun in Paris!

hey sharon, this is robin… lindsey’s assistant. i’m going to take a stab at it and guess lindsey is about 5’6″. i think a lot of the dress lengths depend on whether you have long legs or a long torso. i have longer legs so most dresses are much shorter on me too! hope that helps!

  14. 16

    Love the black-and-grey baseball tee/sweater! :)

  15. 17

Love your outfits! So cute! First is my favorite :)

  16. 18

I adore the leopard shoes with the jeans & gray sweater combo. That’s my favorite look!!

  17. 19

My votes are for black boots, yellow scarf option and blue bow shoes. More color is usually better when everything else is neutral I think!

  18. 20

LOVE the white dress and denim jacket combo! You look great! Have a wonderful time in France.

  19. 21

Adore the shorts, boots and tights! Then again, I was a teen in the 90s and it just makes me think of high school all over again. I hated it but loved that look.

  20. 22

I am from Paris and you will look great! Love all the outfits!

  21. 23

First off, all your outfits are simply wonderful and so “Spring”. And I love your printed dot Target flats with blue trim, I’m drooling over them. Have a great trip!

  22. 24

Oh my I just LOVE all of your outfits and how you styled them! You have a new follower :)

Thanks for letting me join the Linky Fun!

  23. 25

Love the white dress with the boots – very cute look! :)

  24. 26

    Beautiful Paris (envy)

    My vote:
with the striped shirt, the black boots
with the shorts, the outfir with the mustard scarf
    with the jeans, leopard

    Thanks so much for hosting!

  25. 27

Lindsey…I love all the looks!! I see that picture of you on Pinterest ALL the time and judging by the outfits you have chosen, you totally already know what to wear.

I agree with Charlie on all her choices btw… in case you were putting them up for a vote.

  26. 28

i think you can get away with just taking the black boots – so chic for europe :). i love the tights and shorts, look! thanks for linking up!

  27. 29

BLACK boots for sure! I LOVE the shorts, tights and boots combo too – perfect for this crazy in between weather!!

  28. 30

Water repellent outerwear, layers for warmth and a good travel umbrella are must haves this time of year. Darling outfits!!

  29. 31

You are just adorable. I love every outfit you’ve put together since I started following you. And you’ve given me hope that I, too, can be a hot mom. Thanks!

  30. 32

I think this is among the most significant info for me.
And i’m glad reading your article. But want to remark on some general things, The site style is great, the articles is really nice : D. Good job, cheers

  31. 33

Since I’ve been linking up pretty regularly now, I went ahead and added your button to my sidebar! Just thought you’d like to know!

  32. 34

Perhaps you’ve been asked this before, but I have missed the answer. I often see these lovely brown Steve Madden boots on your post…what is the “name” of these boots? Are they still available, I wonder? thanks!

  33. 35

Unquestionably consider that which you stated.
Your favourite reason seemed to be at the net the simplest thing to bear in
mind of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed while other people consider concerns that they plainly don’t understand about. You controlled to hit the nail upon the highest and outlined out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thanks
