i got may’s charm in the mail this week. its the little fishy – isn’t it so sweet?
i very rarely show pictures of the outside of our house because we’ve lived here for 6 years and have never finished our front yard. people actually ask if we just moved in because the yard looks like we’re under construction! but slowly, we (mostly my parents) have been picking away at the front yard, moving tons (literally) of dirt, killing weeds, building walls…
our side yard along our driveway has always been dirt and weeds and filled with random construction materials that never left the property. we decided to clean it up and use some of this free tile we were given. once we did the pavers on this first little section we decided to pave the whole side of the house (minus a few planter spots) which was about 3 times the work of what you see above. it looks so good, i can’t wait to share it all with you!
its a rare occasion that my sister and mom are both in town at the same time, so when that happens we try to always make a point to get pedicures together. emily pointed out that it looks like i was getting a naked pedicure ;) i assure you, i had pants on!
sean took the kids to our weekly family bible study so i could get one last night with my sister and parents before they all had to leave. we went out for sushi and i got extra snuggle time with my nephew, jack, who happens to be the sweetest 2 year old ever!
i’ve been enjoying my coffee with a splash of torani hazelnut syrup and milk in the morning, but i do feel like i’m making myself a hot tottie since the syrup is on the same shelf as our liquor! maybe that would make teaching reading a little more enjoyable? ;)
even for all the credit i give wiww for helping me get dressed every day, somedays i just can’t. jammies feel too good! and i had several people stop by the house that day, all getting to see me in my jams. oh well!
even with prepping for the stitch market, my week was pretty mellow. one of my projects for the market was to make the vendor name tags. after printing them on cardstock, i littered them with washi tape then backed them with a frame of black cardstock. i love how they turned out!
i’m trying to keep these scrappy buntings stocked, but they go so fast! i listed 17 of them and they were all sold within a couple hours! i’m hoping to list more next week… we’ll see!
just when i thought i was totally ready for the market, i realized i didn’t have any posy hair clips with pink in them. so that lead me to making a huge pile of them late at night!
packed to the gills on our way to set up for the market!
despite the younger ones’ rambunctiousness, the kids were actually really helpful with setting up thursday morning.
if you are san luis obispo county local, you should stop by! we’re open friday also, from 9am to 2pm!
this weekend will be filled with recuperating from the market, catching up on the homeschool we’re missing while i’m gone, birthday parties, grocery shopping, and cleaning the house. i’m excited about the recuperating part. the other stuff, not so much.
