so tomorrow’s my birthday…

i’m turning the big 3-5.  and now i suddenly feel old.  i mean, 35 is old, right? (sorry to those of you who are 35+! just processing here…) i always say that 28 is the perfect age – still young and in your 20′s, but old enough to have life experience and be taken seriously.  but 35?  old.  its funny, i don’t feel 35. i mean, physically, going up the stairs, i definitely feel 35, but i just feel like how have i lived this long already?!  sean and i have been together almost half of my life now, and i think thats pretty cool.

aaaaaanywhooo…. how about a little birthday celebration?!  because even if i don’t like getting older, i still like to celebrate!

birthday insta-sale

this will be my 2nd insta-sale and i’m so excited! are insta-sales new to you?  do you have any questions?  well, i’m here to help ;)

what is an insta-sale? an insta-sale takes place on instagram.  yes, you have to be on instagram for this one – sorry!  the host (me) posts pictures and descriptions of the items they have for sale.  if the people following the host want to buy some of the goodies, they have to bid on the item they want.  i always post the description and the price, so you’re not bidding against each other for a higher price, you’re getting a super low price and you just have to be the fastest bidder!  its really fun!

how do i bid? just be the first to leave your paypal email address in the comments section of the item you want.  easy peasy.  have your phone charged and your typing fingers ready at 4pm pst sharp!

how many items will be for sale? this sale is going to be huge – over 50 items will be for sale!

how big of a discount will you be offering? there will not be one set discount, but each item will be discounted differently.  some will be 15% off, some will be over 50% off!

how do i pay? shortly after the sale is over, you will be invoiced via the email address you leave.  please pay immediately.

what items will be for sale?  a little bit of everything: ties, clutches, pouches, bags, blankets and more!

what about shipping? shipping is a flat rate of $5 and can be combined with multiple purchases.  the only exception are messenger bags, which will be $10 for shipping (those suckers are big!).

any tips?  i suggest doing a little copy/paste of your paypal email addy so all you have to do when you want to bid is paste.  no typing out long email addresses! also, pretty please do not bid on any item you don’t intend to pay for.

can i tell my friends?  ummm, yes please!  feel free to snag the image above either from here or on instagram, and repost away!  thanks, you’re awesome!  so glad you asked…

    Happy Birthday (tomorrow)!

I hope you enjoy your special. I’m 38. Gee, I hate admitting that. My kids tell me I don’t look THAT old, so I guess it’s a good sign. You can definitely pass for 28, no problem. You’re adorable and youthful, despite how feel going up the stairs.

Sounds like a fun sale! I’ll be celebrating my birthday tomorrow to but it’ll be the last time I turn 30 something so I’m not sure whether to blow out the candles or run the other way…. and Happy 35th!

    Happy early birthday!!
I know how you feel… I’m turning 38 in July, and it’s weird, buuut at the same time, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my life, so it’s not that bad. (I just won’t think about the age thing).
You look great btw, I would never have guessed you were 35!
    Have fun tomorrow!

I know what you mean, but in essence 35 is just a number–you’re about as old or young as you make up your mind to be;-) Happy wonderful Birthday!

Oh my gosh I know what you mean. I turned 35 on Monday and when people ask I old I am and I say 35 out loud it just doesn’t seem right. I feel like I am still young, but something about that number throws me off! :) Enjoy your b-day!

    I’m 48, almost 49 and I don’t feel old (ok, I do when I do physycal efforts).
I have a 24 daughter and a 16 son and I always feel young and see my self as a young one, when I see myself at the mirror. Happy next birthday.

Nothing can compare to the feeling of complete mental carefree liberation that comes in your 40′s. It’s the happiest I’ve ever been in my life. Embrace every age and relish the truism that with every year comes more wisdom. Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to you! It’s funny how I use to dread age.. but as I have gotten older, I don’t actually “feel” old. and 35 is definitely not old, because otherwise I am just 2 years away from old. Ok, enough OLD talk. I hope you have an amazing b-day weekend, and good luck with your Instasale!

  12. 12

Happy Birthday! I turned 35 in February. You are only as old as you feel.

  13. 14

I had my “oh my gosh, I’m turning 35″ crisis almost 2 years ago, yes, complete with a meltdown, lol. It was the toughest birthday, for several reasons. It symbolized not only getting older, but also that my children were all school aged and I was entering a new chapter of my life. Process away :) Happy 35th Birthday!

  14. 15

I completely understand about the big 3-5! I actually just turned 36, but I’ve decided to stick at 35. No getting older for me! So I celebrated the first anniversary of my 35th birthday. :)

I’m also 35 and remember that when I was a kid, I thought anyone who was 35 was super old. I like to think I’m still young, but my kids remind me all the time that I’m not. I completely agree that 28 is the perfect age. I always say that if I could be frozen in time at any age, I would choose 28.

  16. 17

i’m 37. yes, 35 is old, but i think my 40s are going to be the best decade ever.
